Note that Avalonkitten doesn't own Pokemon or anything in Pokemon. Thanks.
I'm just trying out at idea for a one-shot; please tell me if it's any good.
As fate would have it.
The rain was coming down heavily now. Not a good day to be training Pokemon, no, not a good day at all. But he still came, heaving himself to the side of the lake, my lake. Rain harder, faster! He must not see me…
Alas! He has! The depths of the water cannot hide me from his searching eye. He had pulled out that strange round contraption before tossing it at the soaked ground at his side. Foolish human, you missed me by a mile! But what came out of the contraption was beyond words, its fiendish red eyes glowing at a point in the water. Glowing at me.
From the surface, he called me forward. Forward to face him. To come forward before he went into my lake after me. Rain harder, harder I say! The human's creature placed a clawed arm in my water, growling his dominance over me.
It was then that I got my idea, my grand plan. The monster now had two feet in my water, but if water couldn't harm him… hail! Cold, hard hail! The clanging sound was the only thing that I could hear. I could see the monster bow to me, I had succeeded!
But wait… his mouth was open, and blasting out a ray of orange light. Before I could move, to get out of the way, it had hit me. Horrible pain coursed through my body, how dare that creature! I willed myself to get through this still, made myself stronger in mind and body.
I had wings! Oh glorious wings! The human looked stunned as I flew out of reach of the monster and hovered over my lake, my small lake. The look on his face turned to delight as he tossed a contraption at me. My last moment of freedom had a glimpse of dark purple in it.
And now I am trapped. Trapped inside of this contraption, never to see the outside world in the same way again.
