I don't even know why I try to get his attention. I'm just trying to improve my morale here, but it's no use. He thinks he can go cavort with whatever nurse he feels like cavorting with. And where does that leave me? That leaves me in the nurses' tent that night. Alone. With nobody to talk to.

Is it because I'm a little big? He probably falls for the other nurses because he thinks they've got the "it look". I can't help it if I'm just a little bit bigger than the rest of the nurses. He's playing favorites with body types. Maybe that's the reason.

Or maybe it's because I'm not fun enough. I'm a great person to be around. He just needs to find the time to get to know me better. But does he? No, he doesn't. He tends to treat me like a statue most of the time. He looks at me but doesn't give his opinion about me.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

"Kellye, would you like to come to the Officers' Club with me?"

"Sure, Hawkeye. I'd love to."

Maybe things might be different after all...
