This poem is dedicated to Miera Evenstar.

A bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has taken the life

Of one who I've known.

A bit of wood

And feather n' stone

She lies still as here I moan.

A bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has stolen her breath

And there she lies prone.

A bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has shattered the wings

That had formerly flown.

A bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has transformed the world

Into grey monotone,

And a bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has suddenly left me

Lost and alone.

For a bit of wood

And feather n' stone

Has abandoned me here

In a land so unknown…..

And it cannot be put on paper

For I cannot say it in a word

The pain that lives inside my soul

Lay silent – never heard.

And dreamings of tomorrow

Fade into yesterday

As I stand here on the land

I swear I will rule someday.
