Summary: Inuyasha must say goodbye to a special someone...
Inuyasha waited at the Bone Eater's Well, dreading each second that went by. He knew it was time. He knew he had to say his last goodbye.
Frowning slightly, he heard footsteps approaching him.
He turned around and said sadly, "Hi, Kagome."
"Hi, Inuyasha. What's wrong? What did you want to talk to me about?" The raven haired girl asked.
"I..." The half demon was at a loss for words. He patted the spot next to him. "Come sit down."
"Okay." Kagome sat down next to him and gazed at his face. "Tell me what's wrong."
Inuyasha looked away. "Kagome, I've finally decided what I want tobe. I just want tostay the way I am like you said I should."
"That's great!" Kagome hugged him and smiled, making Inuyasha frown more. She let go of him after she remembered something was ailing him. "But why are you so sad?"
"That means I don't need you anymore..."
Kagome's eyes went wide. "Are you saying I...can't come back here...ever?"
"No. It's best if you didn't. This place is too dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt. I know your archery skills have improved lately, but some demons can't be taken down just a bow and arrow. Besides, if you're alone, I might not get to you in time."
"But, Inuyasha..." Kagome was on the verge of tears. "You can't be serious."
"I am. I'm sorry to say this, but goodbye." The half demon stood up and grabbed the Jewel shards that were around Kagome's neck.
"Inuyasha, don't do it!"
Before Kagome could say another word, Inuyasha pushed her down the well.
"Please understand, Kagome. I did this only because I love you." With that said, Inuyasha walked away, a tear slowly making its way down his cheek.
This is the very first thing I have ever written in less than ten minutes. Hope you liked it.
