London fog is said to be the thickest in the world, rolling off the river and into the streets giving the city a mystical quality. The fog made sigh seeing almost impossible on most nights though, and it was at night when the city showed its true magic.

Bundled up against the cold, Ayumu followed Eyes through the busy streets of London to his apartment. Ayumu had been a guest at Eyes' concert that night, playing a duet version of his brother's favorite song. Eyes had been much better, but the combination of the two of them left the audience stunned in amazement for a few moments before they stood, bursting into applause and calling for an encore.

The most tiring part of the evening however had been the staff's lack of knowledge about the extension cords. Apparently someone had overloaded the soundboard and blown the fuse. For almost an hour the technicians argued about how many kHz it takes to blow a soundboard, whose fault it was and where they could find another one before the performance. Finally someone found another one and everything quieted down enough to do the sound check.

Eyes just stood there waiting the entire time as Ayumu nervously practiced his parts of the duet. He had never performed in front of so many people before and would have never agreed to the idea a year ago. Back then, he would have replied that he had stopped playing a long time ago and had no further interest in the instrument.

Eyes had been very insistent though when bringing up the idea now. He had said that it would be an interesting change to the performance, and that he had wanted to hear him play for a very long time.

As he walked on stage, Ayumu finally felt relaxed, even as the audience stared as he sat down at a second piano that had been brought on stage. He looked up to see Eyes looking at him before he started the piece. As they played, the song seemed to flow from their fingertips and twist and melt into one as it passed over the heads of the audience.

They had left the concert hall right after the performance so they could avoid reporters and fans; Eyes knew that Ayumu would be uncomfortable with that much attention.

Now as they passed through the park near Eyes' apartment, they sensed none of the night's tension or excitement, only each others' warmth as the sky opened up to let snow fall onto the sidewalks and streets. Eyes stopped in front of a fountain that was still turned on even this late at night. The snow melted right as it touched the water that sparkled back, reflecting into his eyes.

Moving closer to Ayumu, he stared at the reflections playing on the water.

"This is one of my favorite places. We're lucky it's such a beautiful night."

He turned to Ayumu, who hugged him close, and kissed him, the two of them united as their music had been earlier that night. They stood together until the snow covered the ground in one perfect blanket of white. Only then did the cold drive them toward Eyes' apartment again, the snow slowly covering their steps and leaving no trace that they were ever there.
