Golden Sun: The Forbidden Prophecy
Prologue
On a seemingly normal day in the land of Weyard, many years before the tales of the first Golden Sun, a grave prediction was made. The man who spoke what came to be known only as The Forbidden Prophecy had stated his thought that day. He named the exact day and exact year that a previously unheard of lighthouse would be lit. The lighthouse would add its ominous Dark psyenergy to the Golden Sun's already great power. This would turn the Golden Sun black, drawing the attention of many Adepts good and bad. But no matter the Adept's alignment of good or evil, the newly made Black Star would suck them into its swirling vortex of Dark energy. The psyenergy would be absorbed by all Adepts who ventured too close to the Star, turning them into Pluto adepts, who used the Dark psyenergy of the Star.
But one hero would rise up, the sole protector of Weyard. This unnamed hero would defeat the powerful Adept who tries to light the Pluto Lighthouse and end the horror before it began.
The prophet who told of this future occurrence could not get a clear picture of the hero, however, not even a name. Without naming the hero who would stop this from happening and without even naming the powerful foe that would try to corrupt all Adepts, the Forbidden Prophecy was regarded as a crackpot theory. The prophet was put in jail until his dying day for spreading fear throughout with his so-called propaganda, and his written prophecy was locked away in a secret vault deep beneath Weyard, never to be read by anyone again.
However, the prophecy was passed on in stories through the generations for two millennia. Then, in a small house in Vale one night, a mother told the story to herthree-year-old son. Unbeknownst to her, her son was the one destined to stop the evil Dark Adept who would soon try to take over all of Weyard.
