A\N: I am on a poem SPREE:) Okay, I was thinking of Phantom when I wrote this, but it's really more metaphorical than anything else, there isn't direct content that makes you go OOOH, THAT IS DEFINATELY PHANTOM but I think it has a decidedly Phantom-ish feel to it. Yay symbolism! And I think that this is one of my shorter poems---gasp!----yes I know my poetry is way too long. Anyway...constructive criticism please! "I hate you, you suck, " is not constructive; therefore I don't appreciate the comment, thanks. Adieu.

White

Such an innocent color, really

An innocent color

For innocents to wear

White

Innocence just waiting to be corrupted

By a darker essence…

A soft color

A representative of happiness

And naïve souls?

Perhaps…

But white can be blinding

Shining harshly in the eyes

Of people unaccustomed to the sudden light

White can expose

Nothing is safe

Nothing is hidden

When shrouded in white

Black

A color forever tainted by night

Striken by the cold airs of the world

Misunderstood by the innocents

Black is a color to be taken seriously

Always

Black is not to be meddled with

But black can be soft

Warm

When it suits itself

Black shields

Black protects

Black wraps its arms around the other colours

And holds them close

Keeping them from the horrors of the world

And when deeply in love

Black is dotted with white stars from the heavens

Black and white

Different worlds

But when merged together

A perfect couple
