Miakaghost: Hey, y'all. I've been forgetting my disclaimers! Oh no! I don't own Saiyuki in any way possible, no matter how much I want to. But I own my OC!

Far From Home

Chap.1

L.A was a busy place, but could be considerably calm at times. This was not one of those times.

"Get back here!" yelled the police officer as he chased the children down the street.

"He's catching up, Ayumi!" panted the boy. They paused for a moment to wipe the sweat from their brows, and look at each other.

"Kid, you're under arrest!" The police officer grabbed both children by the wrist. "You made me run all over L.A. and that doesn't exactly do wonders for my respitory system." He growled.

Cho Ayumi and Ame, two children who'd just been convicted of their first crime. Both had light brown hair and deep emerald eyes, but Ayumi, who was the elder sister, wore a pair of jeans and a white tank top, while Ame, the younger brother, wore a pair of khakis and a green Chinese shirt.

The police officer was Officer Genjyo Shaiming, a blonde by natural hair color, but had amethyst eyes he was laughed at for. Instead of wearing the blue police uniform, he wore a white tunic and black jeans.

Shaiming tugged the children along, and they reluctantly followed; they didn't want their arms ripped off by the officer.

The crime the children were accused of? Well, Ayumi's best friend, Yumiko Hatahara was killed and everyone figured Ame the killer. Ayumi was in trouble because she helped Ame try to escape, and Ame because they thought he was the killer.

"Konzen!" A voice called, and a strange woman came down from the sky. "Oh, hello there Konzen."

"I'm Shaiming, not Konzen." Shaiming immediately snapped. The woman ignored him.

"Of course you remember me, Kanzeon."

"I've never met you before."

"Yes, well, I wanted you to do something for me in Togenkyo." Kanzeon waved a hand and they all were standing in the middle of a temple. "You see, Konzen, someone is trying to revive that nasty Gyumaoh again. You're going to have to stop them."

"But…I'm no Konzen, and I'm no fighter. And…I'm going alone?" Shaiming scratched his head.

"Not quite; those two behind you will help." Kanzeon waved a hand towards Ayumi and Ame. "They are, after all, related to Hakkai."

"Um….what?" Ame had a confused look on his face, as did Ayumi.

"You will do this." Kanzeon ordered. Shaiming started to growl an answer when Kanzeon interrupted. "You will do this or never return to L.A. again." Kanzeon grinned, and disappeared. Shaiming turned to his two captives.

"Fine; we'll do it, but I want you two brats to remember: you're still my prisoners."

"Yes, Shaiming-san." The children nodded obediently. "Uh, what're those monks doing?" Ame pointed to the monks gathering around them.

"Um….we'll find out."

Later…..

Shaiming was now dressed in the robes of a Sanzo, and Ayumi and Ame both dressed in a green Chinese shirt and khakis. Ayumi put her hair up in a ponytail, and nodded happily to the monks as they left the temple.

"So we're gonna walk the whole way to this….Tenjiku place? Alone?" Ame asked Shaiming.

"Perhaps we'll meet some other idiots along the way who'll join us. And maybe a better mode of transportation." Shaiming snapped back.

Meanwhile, a crimson haired girl suddenly jerked her head to the sky. Three falling stars, and the constellation of Draco was shining brighter than usual. She grinned.

"The Sanzo ikkou's back in town."
