Chapter 9

For a girl with a closet as big as Buffy's, you'd think she'd be able to find something to wear. But, she couldn't, and she couldn't understand why. She'd never felt the need to try and impress someone before, mostly becuase she'd never cared about what others thought of her. But, knowing that Angel would be there changed everything. She felt the need to look perfect, which she thought was rediculas becuase she just met him! But, she still curled her hair, half up half down, and did her make-up while listening to Affirmation by Savage Garden.

"Who are getting all dressed up for?" Dawn asked after barging in to Buffy's room.

"Nobody, now buzz off. And, next time, knock!" Buffy said annoyed with her younger sibling.

"Where are you going?" Dawn asked nosily.

"To a club with some people from school." Buffy answered casually.

Dawn saw the outfit consisting of a black leather mini skirt, black leather knee high boots, and sleeveless brown low cut shirt and again asked "Who are you tryin' to impress Buff?"

"I said no one, now get out of my room before I put you out!" Buffy yelled now truely annoyed.

"This couldn't all be for a certain tall, dark, handsome, neighbor of ours, could it?" Dawn asked smugly knowing the answer.

"No, of course it isn't. Now leave me alone, so I can make myself look decent." Buffy said while leading Dawn towards the door.

"Fat chance!" yelled Dawn as Buffy slammed the door.

Angels House

For some odd reason unknown to Angel, he couldn't figure out what his problem was. Cordelia had let it slip to him that Buffy might be going to the Bronze tonight. And that was the reason he kept changing his clothes. Buffy could be there. Normally, if Buffy had been any other girl, Angel wouldn't have bothered with looking his best. But, this wasn't any other girl, this was Buffy. And for some unknown reason, he just couldn't get her out of his mind.

"You're acting like a girl the way you keep changing your clothes," Kathy told Angel after he changed his clothes for the 3rd time.

"Not now Kathy. It is 7:58, and I've only got a half hour to get ready and get to the Bronze," Angel answered agrivated with his choice of clothing.

"And just how do you plan on getting there?" asked Kathy.

"Cordelia's taking me by Joe's to pick up my car," Angel answered looking for something else to wear.

"You finally finished it?" questioned Kathy.

"Yes, now go some place in life where you are happy, and stay there, would ya? I have to change," Angel said as Kathy started agrivating him with her questions.

"Again?" Kathy asked wondering how many changes of clothing Angel had.

Angel's responce was shutting his door in her face and blaring "Take it Away" by the Used on his stereo.
