Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh and this poem was created purely for my amusement only.
A/N: Yes, I know, I should be working on "What I Thought Was You", but this randomly settled in my head so I decided to share it. The person being spoken about is going to remain anonymous, but I think it's a bit (okay, very) obvious who the person is. I don't normally write poetry–but please enjoy! Read and review!
Dreaded dreams, plague not tonight
As the moon's shadow touches upon the site
The young boy is still clutching the book's bloodstained pages
As his eyes so readily fade away...
Into nothing
And can't you see he's crying?
Though his face remains dry and impassive
And can't you see he's dying?
Underneath the crumbled walls he built alone
In despair
&&&
Little boy, cry not tonight
As your brother makes another sacrifice
He's still trying so hard to keep you safe
As his soul so willingly falls...
Into pieces
And don't you know it's all for you?
That he's stays strong everyday
And don't you know he loves you too?
Though something keeps him from saying
Those words
&&&
Ignorant strangers, scorn not tonight
As he walks away in a facade of false might
The tormentor is still alive within him
As he tries so fruitlessly to turn away...
From everything
And why won't you see his shadowed lament?
Though it hides beneath his eyes
And why can't you hear the pleas he's sent?
Though they've been masked in cold remarks
Always
&&&
Listen to the silent cries
Of one who claims no emotion
The one who longs to be alone
But mostly,
The one who's slowly fading...
A/N: Review! Please? It'd make me very happy. Say whatever you like, but no flames!
