Chapter 2 She Wakes
Ellie's eyelids flickered rapidly as they opened. Her head was so heavy it was weird.
"I see you're awake," a voice said into the silence. She moaned.
"Who are you?" Ellie demanded. No answer. She was covered in scrapes and bruises, which made Ellie feel a hundred times worse. This shadow loomed over her again, this time she got a closer look. A lean good-looking man in his twenties stood over her as she stared at him.
"The Etherion in you grows stronger, join me and we shall rule this world together!" he roared.
Ellie stared at him as if he was from another world.
"No way," she objected. Silence.
"Then you shall suffer!" he screamed. Shackles were placed onto Ellie's wrists by invisible hands. She struggled, wriggling her wrists. Blood dripped onto the floor.
Suddenly an electrical surge attacked her body. She screamed. The dark man smiled, satisfied.
"Join me?" he questioned again.
"No!" Ellie shouted.
"Very well" he replied. He clicked his fingers. She screamed again. The pain was over wailing. But He was on her mind again. It seems she would have to wait for Haru to rescue her. Again.
