The wind carried many things that day in 2071, it carried hope for the future as a new baby was born, it carried the seeds of a poppy as its mother withered and died, it carried a cold chill while bare skin suffered, and it carried the millions of memories a young hacker held so dear as she left Earth forever.

She had been wondering for months on end, her ever-present smile had faded when she realised that she needed the Bebop and she was never going to find her father. She had no food, no water and no faithful companion, the dog wonder had left her alone on this god forsaken planet when he found a way out, thinking that he was happier where he was now made her feel better.

Tomato was her only friend now, she still checks where the Bebop is, but they haven't come near Earth for some reason, she even made contact with them, that's when she found out why. Her 'older brother' was gone as well, he was gunned down, she couldn't understand why, he was the best gunman around, and he always recovered from his injuries and went on with life in a calm, layback manner.

That night she cried, if she had a bucket, she could have drunk it. Everyone was leaving her, she knew that her 'sister' loved him and that she would be next, this made her cry more.

Soon enough, she realised something, nobody came looking for her, she knew her 'brother' was watching her do her little drawing on the deck, but he didn't come down to stop her, surely the other two saw it, but they didn't come either. This would of made her cry, but she didn't feel sad, there had always been the secret talks about her, I bet they thought of her as a burden, this only made her angry.

" I WON'T FUCKING BURDEN YOU ANY LONGER!"

With that, she impaled herself with the stick that was lying beside her. The wind carried her scream for millions of years to come but it never reached the ears of those it was directed to, but they always had a feeling of what she had done.

Gaz: To Darren,

May your wings take you higher then mine ever could.
