Hey! I had to write a poem for my English class and came up with this. I like the topic and am proud of it. If you read Love and Loss, don't worry, update coming soon. Enjoy!
Phantom of the Opera
Christine Daae was a girl,
A quiet ballet dancer.
One night she sang a majestic song,
For which no one had the answer.
Raoul, her friend, watched it all,
His face was expressed in awe.
This was not the same young girl he know,
It was a woman that he saw.
The Phantom lurked in the shadows there,
It was where he remained hidden.
Christine was his vocal student,
For to see his face was forbidden.
He planned to steal her away,
From the life she always knew.
He would charm her with his music,
And have darkness overwhelm her, too.
He brought her down to darkness, black,
Down to his shadowy lair.
He wanted her to be his wife,
And to always be there.
In the end she is set free,
She shows the Phantom the love
He was denied through life.
It is beautiful to think of.
She leaves with Raoul,
Now her lover.
The Phantom is left,
Now to recover.
He still loved her,
That much is true,
But he let her go be happy,
And that shows great love, too.
