Title: Harry Potter and His Girl Problems

Length: 400 words

Rating: G

A/N: Always wanted to write this, but only just decided to really do so. It sounds really dumb, and I know I made quite a lot of grammar mistake down there...Either see them as something I did on purpose, or ignore them. And now, fear the wrath of my idiotic rambling.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I mean, I'm not that bad looking, am I? And I did defeat Voldemort. So why can't I find a single female to be with? It's not that much of a big deal most of the time, but it certainly is when everyone at this ball seems to have a date. Even Snape has one, and...Well, that's not the point.

The ball was held to celebrate the anniversary of Voldemort's defeat, held in my name. And yet, here I am, alone and not knowing what to do.

It's not as if other's don't try to help. I get 'help' all time, people trying to convince me that this (or that) girl is someone I should take. Or that I should try to this (or that) to get a girl's attention.

"Try writing letters, Harry-it makes girls listen." That's from Professor McGonagall. Embarrassing, that I have dating help from someone more than twice my age.
"Yo Harry-I know a few really cute girls..." Ron there. And yes, I said no to all of them.
"Harry, you really should try to find someone to love. It'll help you a lot, especially as you don't know what to do with life." Obviously, that came from Hermione. Nice bit of information, if not hard to deal with.

And so, here I am, still alone and not quite in the mood to talk about girls anymore. I chose to sit down at a table and started drinking, punch though, not anything alcoholic. And saw Snape walking over. 'I'm in trouble,' was my first thought, as childhood fear does not fade fast. I don't think it ever will.

But instead of hexing me, all he said was "She's a powerful witch." Which made me confused, really.
"Who, Hermione?" I replied, having no idea who he's talking about.
"Granger? Smart, yes; powerful, no." I don't know how Hermione will reply to that.
He smirked as he walked away, but I recovered enough to walk over and ask him, "Then who?"
After making me feel really uncomfortable, he said "Weasley" before leaving (to find his date? Ouch.)

I never thought I'll hear a compliment for a Weasley coming from a Slytherin. And I never thought I'll get girl help with Snape. But now that I think of it, I realize that dating Ginny Weasley sounds like a really, really good idea.
