My Sweet Goodbye
Summary: My version of Episode 25, the day before Yoh set out to go to America.
Sidenote: I really don't remember what episode it was, so if I'm wrong, tell me. This is my first one-shot, so be nice... I'm really lazy, so it's pretty short.
"Oh yeah! Thanks for the ride, Ren!" Yoh cried gaily as he slammed the car's door closed in a slapdash way. Worn out from partying with the gang, Yoh lagged his way to the porch. Instead of going straight to bed, Yoh found himself lingering at the entrance, unsure of what or who was waiting for him behind that door. He sat there a while. Thinking. Of Anna. Of how he will live without her. The thoughts of being miles away from Anna frightened him. Not to mention having to explore a land he knew nothing about.
"Tomorrow..." Yoh told himself. His smile slowly faded as he looked around the garden one last time.
"I'll miss you..." He smiled weakly then quietly retreated into the house. Silently, Yoh crept against the wall and found the way up to his room. After finished changing, Yoh climbed right into his futon.
Before he could lie down properly, the door violently swung open as his fiancee barged in with rage.
"A...Anna?" Yoh stuttered. His mind screamed the word 'Busted!'. "You... still awake?"
"Where were you?" Anna gritted, her eyes scrutinizing him like a criminal.
"I was... out with the guys..."
"I see... So that's why you excused yourself from my special Farewell Dinner?" She barked brazenly. Never in his life have Yoh seen Anna so angry.
"I'm sorry... I... didn't know..."
"Here!" She said, throwing a pack of clothes at him. "Throw it away for all I care!" And with it, streams of tears ran down her cheeks.
"Anna!" Before she could move, Yoh bursted out of his futon as he squeezed her hand.
"L... let go!" She uttered, turning her head away from his.
"I'm sorry!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms around her.
"Get away... from me!" Anna squeaked weakly. Too tired to obligue, she bursted in tears.
"I'm sorry..." Yoh said again while stroking her hair. His other hand rested gently on her hip, gripping her closer to him by the second. Her soft cries and frequent sniffles throbbed Yoh's heart as he tried to come up with the right apology.
"I was stupid. I should've stayed with you..." He admitted apologetically. "I was selfish. Please forgive me..."
"Yoh..." Finally managed to speak, Anna pushed herself slightly away from Yoh. "I will miss you..."
Stunned, as if his ears just deceived him, it took Yoh a while to reply "I will miss you, too..."
Gently, he brushed the tears off her eyes and leaned down to kiss her. A kiss so sweet. So tender. So tempting. So mesmerizing. Instead of thrashing him, Anna swung her arms around his neck and gave into the kiss.
The kiss so captive. So intrigue. So manipulating.
The serene moonlight shyly shone upon the young couple as their lips parted. The end of their sweet good-bye.
A/N: Heh, too short, huh? Well, it looks so much longer on papers lol. I know I know, I'm so not good at writing romance (just discovered it), I'm much more better when it comes to humor, but I can't think of anything funny O.o. Well, reviews
