Moon On The Water

- - - -

You and I -

We were one.

A sacrilegious union.

A symbiotic harmony

Of love and life and death.

You, ma lune céleste

And I, the water upon which

Your graceful dance would sway.

Where one would end the other would begin

Never to be apart

Never to be alone

always

to

for

ever

and

ever

dance

together

slow and sensual

The dance of love.

Into this world we came

Two years apart

And yet

Reborn into the new world

We were together

Bonded

As one

By life.

For life –

And beyond.

And yet

As we lived

As we danced

As we loved

Together

Our hearts and souls

Laughing as one

They would not accept us.

We left

Alone but for ourselves.

We would dream

Of dancing away into eternity

Together forever

Just you and I.

The moon upon water.

The dance of life

But fought we did

Many a-time –

The enemies pursued us

Haunting us

Hunting us.

But it was that last time that –

That very last time that –

Your innocence

My purity

Gone.

Together we were

Dancing as one

Dancing to the anthem

Of our dying day

Our flesh not touching

Yet our souls infused.

Our blades

Like rays of swirling moonlight

Stained with the crimson

Of life's water.

You and I,

We danced.

Swirling

Twirling,

Spinning,

Curling.

One the echo of the other.

But no matter how hard we fought

They overwhelmed us.

It did not end there.

They would not let it.

As they

Held me back

They took their sadistic nature out –

On you.

Bonded as we were

I felt every cut

Every bruise

Every painful –

Unwanted –

Cruel –

Penetration -

But defiant you were

Your eyes reflecting our dance

Our fateful dance.

Of death.

You flickered first

After their cruel administrations.

Your eyes

As clear and wide as the water nearby

Reflecting the stars and moon in your soul.

'Je t'aime, mon amour,

My love

My life

Is yours forever.'

And as you danced towards the stars

I left too

Just to

Dance –

With you

Forever and ever

We are fated

To dance

Among the stars

Below Paradise

Above the world

The moon –

Dancing upon the water

A slow, loving waltz

To the tune of the world.

A.N Yay, more random randomness from the Freaky Butt Mate. If you've wondered where I've been, go check my profile. I wrote up some big rant there and couldn't be bothered typing it again.

And if you're wondering what the heck that thing up there (I wouldn't call it prose, yet its not quite poetry, either) has to do with Darren Shan, well, the two characters were nameless vampires. Yes. That it right. Nameless, original vampires. Of their genders, well, that's up to you. Male/male, male/female or female/female – you decide. XD I, of course, personally prefer m/m.

By the way, their enemies were the vampaneze. I guess this was set in the past when the vampires and vampaneze were first waging war with each other. Hehe.

Yes. Well. Anyway. Sorry for the patheticness. Mwuaha.

Oh, yes. And I am very peed off at Fanfiction. Why?

They stuffed up the above thing's format. It was all pretty and nice and all over the place, but nooo, won't let me do that... Grr...
