Forget
In view of: Roy Mustang
Just for today,
Let's forget all sense.
Forget there is no "we",
And go on like there is.
When I cry on your shoulder,
Hesitate at first,
But then hold me close
As I fall back in your arms.
Pretend we aren't forbidden,
Forget that we shouldn't,
Live like today was our last together,
And most of all, don't let me go.
Don't let the cold in.
Don't let the warmth out.
Just forget that we should work,
And lazily lay by the fire with me.
Don't forget these moments.
Don't lose these words.
Remember all my stories.
Always hold them close.
Enjoy this with me.
I know you actually do.
Allow me a kiss.
Give me a commemoration.
Console whatever ales me.
I'd do the same.
Then, you can let go of me.
I'll allow it simply.
You'll pretend to forget.
I know you will.
But you'll never forget,
Because even I can't.
Neither of us will be able to believe it.
Who would?
You'll try so hard to forget
That I love you,
That you love me,
And everything we said.
You just may think you hate me,
And I'll forgive you for that.
But don't let it go,
Because it isn't right,
And you know it isn't,
To forget.
