Author's Note: I don't own anybody except Cadence, but I don't mind if you use her in another story. This is a 2 part story. Hope you likie!
Ruthie walked down the long hallway to her first class. She was thinking of her current boyfriend Vincent, when she saw him kissing another girl. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" asked a furious Ruthie. hen the girl turned around, she saw her face.
CADENCE!" yelled Ruthie. "Ruthie, its not what it looks like." Said Vincent
"Well, what do you think it is? You're telling me that I don't see my BOYFRIEND and my BEST FRIEND making out in a hallway?" Ruthie said, tears welling up in her eyes. "Sweetie, I'm sorry." Vincent said coming towards her. "No! We are over!"
Ruthie ran. She ran right past the hall monitor. She ran faster. Tears were streaming down her face. She ran right into someone, making her fall over. "I'm sor……Ruthie?" said a firmiliar voice. She looked up into the eyes of Martin. "What did he do to you?" asked Martin, helping Ruthie up. "Kissing...girl……not me." She said between sobs. Martin put his back pack down and embraced her. She cried into his chest. Once she calmed down, he let go of her. "Come on" he said, grabbing Ruthie's arm.
Somehow, he managed to track down Vincent. "Look what you did to her!" he said in a harsh tone. "I hate you Vincent! I never want to see you again!" she said, slapping him across the face. Martin and Ruthie told the nurse the did not feel good and were sent home. The nurse called the Camden household. Since no one was there, she left a message. Since Marin is old enough to dive, he drove home with Ruthie. Once they were in the driveway, she didn't get out of the car. "Ruthie, he doesn't deserve you." Martin said to break the silence. "I know, but I think I loved him." "Well, you're better off without that jerk." He put a comforting hand on her shoulder. Without thinking, she grabbed the hand on her shoulder into hers. Martin didn't pull away. Instead, he brushed his hand on her cheek. She kissed him.
"I….uh….um….i'm sorry!" she exclaimed. "Shh. Its okay." He pulled her close and kissed her. Martin got out of the car and opened the door for Ruthie. He put his arm around her and slung her backpack over his other shoulder. Once inside, her put her backpack down, sat on the couch, and turned on the tv. Ruthie settled next to Martin. He put an arm around her shoulders and she snuggled into his chest. She put her legs on the couch and covered herself with a blanket. She was soon asleep.
