People often say of Sirius that 'his eyes are bigger than his belly', but today Sirius's eyes were fixed on Remus and, with a belly full of butterflies, it was for Remus that he wanted.
He watched in breathless fascination as Remus's tongue flicked out, first to lap his ice-cream, then to lick the sticky traces from the corner of his mouth.
So taken by the sight was he, and so distracted by the strange exciting, throb between his legs, that he failed to noticed his own cone had tilted precariously within his hand until the sun-softened ice-cream slid off and hit the ground with a dull, wet splat.
Looking blankly at the ice-cream puddle, he only distantly registered his lost 'Mint Dream', because in his mind he was still enjoying Remus's 'Cherry Surprise' and imagining how it would feel to have that ice-cream cooled tongue drawn along his too hot length. So much so that when Remus offered his to share, Sirius lent forward, and without a second thought, licked the sweet cherry taste from Remus's lips. As Remus's mouth opened in a gasp of surprise, Sirius took advantage and slid his tongue inside; tasting and sharing an ice-cream laced kiss.
Coming to his senses first, Remus pulled away; discreetly darting glances, to see if they'd been seen. But at that time of day, and in such heat, that part of Diagon Alley was near deserted.
Then, giddily and smiling like idiots, arm in arm they strolled, sharing the last of Remus's cherry ice-cream; their tongues brushing accidentally -- deliciously -- as they lunged for the same sweet spot.
