Pictures

His mothers bed was scattered with pictures. Pictures from Christmas, birthday parties, and family gatherings. All of them were of him or his mother, maybe some family members. None of his father.

This did not surprise him at all. From what he could tell, his father was somewhat of a shy person, so being behind the camera must have been his only way of escaping a picture. Cody cursed his father for doing that.

Aw, here is one of his mother sleeping, long before he was born.

Cody packed the images back into their paper coverings and tossed them aside, digging into the box for another packet of photos. He needed one for a school project that was due the next day and worth half of his final grade. While searching, he was wondering if he could find a double of one picture in particular. It was of him at a young age being held by his father for a photo opportunity, a rare one at that.

He had that picture in his wallet, but it was stolen along with his money. He didn't care about the money or the wallet, he only wanted the picture. That stupid picture that now was taking precious time away from doing his project.

Sighing, he grabbed hold of the pictures and shoved them back into the box, making sure to leave the one picture taken of him at a young age. He was holding onto the blanket in front of the old sofa, staring at the camera as it flashed into his face. There were feet around him, but it would be impossible for him to figure out who belong to them.

These time of things just made school worse for him.

I know. It isn't even a page long.

I guess this would be one of my vent stories. It came to me when I was looking for pictures of my father for a report, so, yeah. I really want that wallet back, though.
