Raven frowned, the displeasure on her face obvious. Beastboy slowly backed away as her look turned from disgust to anger. "Co'mon Raven really I was kidding. Really." "The evidence proves less. . . . . . Mind it may be a good reason to hurt you." "Umm well we were. . . ." He saw the other Titans glance at him. "Ok I wandered about your past that's all." "My past is none of your concern." She stood and Beastboy pressed himself up against the wall. "Don't hurt me." Raven shook her head and quickly exited the room. The others turned their gaze back on Beastboy before they too left the room. "What?"
Raven entered her room quickly closing the door behind her. He had every right to be curious about her past. But that gave him no reason to go nosing into it and making up his own conclusions. But she couldn't blame them. She had given them no reason to think that it may be a past that she would not like to remember. But despite herself she often did remember and she hated it.
It had snowed and she longed to go outside and jump into it. But she hesitated not really knowing if she should or she shouldn't. She could see her mother beckoning her to come out and play. She starred at her mother watching as she chucked a snowball at her father. She smiled slightly as he scowled and heard her mother laugh. She hurried out to join them but only reached the door when her mother entered the house. "Sorry Rae you can't go out now." "But. . ." "No."
That was the first disappointment that she could remember clearly. So many followed. Too many. Disappointment nearly made up her life.
"Titans Go." Robin cried out as Starfire lifted into the air and Beastboy ran forward changing as he went. She watched him. Not really noticing that Robin watched her in return. The crime was small. Two men dressed in black trying to rob a jewellery store. They hadn't really needed to get involved. The police could have handled it. But she had insisted. She had wanted to watch and learn. To figure what made him like he was. How he could act so carefree. She watched as he changed from one animal to another. Really just toying with the robbers more then anything else. But she was stuck. How could he make her so angry and confused at the same time?"
