Ain't So Bad
by Riley Murphy

Part 1
The Diary Love-Me-Not

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

Dearest Diary,

The boy I've always called my friend, even when he wasn't...
I remember when I first met Natsume... I smile. At first, we
hated each
other. I even disliked Ruka-pyon. It's funny to think,
though, that we would end up as we have. The best of friends,
in a sense.

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

DAMMIT!

Natsume, who had always been so damn sure as to what was happening around him, was confused. Well, confused didn't tell the whole story - because Natsume was so much more than confused. He was distraught, and annoyed, and generally in a very bad mood.

Persona, that annoying teacher who followed him around everywhere and made it his mission to turn Natsume into some kind of super spy, had become... intolerable... as of late. Natsume had never really liked the man, and was on the verge of turning him in a massive ball of flames.

Then there was the issue of that damned diary. Stupid girl, leaving her journal out like that. It was bad enough that she made it her life's goal to be so cheerful. Did she have to just write about him and then leave it out in the open for the world to see?

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

He sighed and leaned back against the tree, dropping the annoying flower which had lost all of it's petal onto the ground. He glared down at it. He hated flowers.

He reached over and picked up another one, beginning again.

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

Another flower, minutes later, discarded. He reached over, picking up another one.

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

That was when the most unusual thing happened.

She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.

She loves me.

Natsume blinked curiously. Uh-oh. The flower had run out of petals.

A/N: (sobs) I'm so bored. My muse has died. I mentally farted this one out in honor of episode seven being posted! BECAUSE GAKUEN ALICE RULES! How many G.A.fans are there on here? Well, if there are any, post! WE MUST STICK TOGETHER! MWAHAHAHA! Oh, and expect more to this - just... maybe not as soon as my other fanfics. I'm trying to cut back on updating five different things every two days. LOL. Whatever. More soon.
