Pleading

Faramir tries to convince Eowyn to reject the darkness and accpet his love in his usual romantic way, by writing it in a poem. Please R&R because i suck at poetry.

My first attempt at poetry wothin Lord of the Rings. PLease Rate & Review as your applause encouragement, criticism etc would be greatly appreciated as i think my poetry sucks.

Faramir trys to convince Eowyn to abandon the Shadow and welcome his love:

Pleading

When I look into your eyes, I see love.

But Broken shadows dance still around your eyes

Blind to all but despair.

And I watch, and I wait,

For you to see with the eyes that are yours.

I wait for you to see the truth,

That no King can hold the heart of you.

Why can you not accept your fate?

You were not meant for darkness, nor was I,

Why can you not let me heal you?

I will not see you suffer, I cannot bear this pain.

My White lady let me in, for all is cold and dark

But for you. You are the light of my life.

Yet still you despair of life, it is life I give.

Look at me beloved, what do you see

In these grey eyes?

You hold my heart, you have my soul.

I cannot live without you, and I yet still I need to save you.

This darkness is all consuming, but there is still a light.

You lit my way, now let me light yours,

I will not betray you, I cannot hurt you.

You are strong my love, stronger than I,

Yet it is I who must save you form darkness.

This is love, I know, can you not feel it?

This is magic; the strongest power there is,

What would I not sacrifice for you?

I know what I see in your eyes,

All you need sacrifice for me is the darkness,

Let go, the King can never understand

As I do. Three words I say to you

In your home tongue;

Ic lufian eow, I love you,

For you have my heart, now open yours.

I will not let go of love, let go of life, I will save you yet.

Is it that you cannot love me, or will not?

Or do you yet relish the shadow?

Come back my love, come back,

I need you here. I need you.
