Final Battle
The Prophecy clear
the night drew near
Stantic emblems burning.
They say they can help
they say they will fight.
but they don't know the danger.
This night brings death
to all the living.
all the living but me.
death would be a welcome alternative,
but death won't come to me.
My blood stained room
no longer holds comfort.
it is no longer my sanctuary.
the sweet solitude my room once held,
gone at too many attempts at death,
trying to escape my fate.
He watches over me,
my father,
but he only protects me for him.
he doesn't care about my well being
he just want to use me.
my unstable power greater than his own.
One more hour till this doom
arrives on Earth, the time is soon.
They are preparing for a hopeless battle.
i couldn't sway their decision.
the one i love refused to leave,
and his actions gave me hope.
But that hope was soon spent
for the messenger came again.
More crimson stained my floor,
but the bloody dagger brought no comfort
knowing i could not find death.
a knock on the door
a light on the floor.
he stood on the threshold, waiting.
light sturdy armor
clothed his body.
small sword visible on belt.
he handed me a suit,
much like his own,
reds and blacks our color.
He led me to the living room,
others present
all in armor, like our own.
but they wear silver, not black and red.
questions of the difference entered my head.
He says the battle is ours
the messenger and father targets.
reds and blacks of death and blood.
wishing to bring death to one he hates,
he stands with me, him alone.
a fearless look on his face.
the others brave but not so much
as the boy who would follow me to my grave.
i must tell him my secret
before the final battle.
lest this secret tear me apart.
i tell him of my love to him.
surprise, he returns it.
new strength to kill
new hope to live.
a future with him my goal.
dark magic courses through me,
hatred in my blood.
the need to kill rose higher
with my new goal.
the hour has come
the battle is here.
we step out the door side by side.
he takes my hand and together we lead
the others out to battle.
