A lot of you have been pointing out that I've been using the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh card names. This is because I took the deck lists from a site which had the Japanese names, and I'm too lazy to look up the English translations.
So please be comprehensive.

"All right! I'll go first," said Yami Marik "And summon Helpoemer (2000/1400) in attack mode! You might remember this card, Pharaoh. When it goes to the Graveyard, it steals one card at random from your hand. Then I'll set two cards face down and end my turn."
"Let's see, I play Mystical Elf (800/2000) in defense mode," said Yami "I'll also set one card (Magic Cylinder) and I end my turn."
"Look, time for me to bring out an old friend," said Yami Marik, "Plasma Eel (500/1200)! It equips to your Mystical Elf and reduces its attack by 500 at the end of your turn. I'll set one card, and now Helpoemer, attack!"
"You've activated my trap card!" said Yami "Magic Cylinder!"
YAMI: 4000
YAMI MARIK: 2000
"One second, I'll also activate my trap card, Nightmare Wheel! I choose your Mystical Elf. It can no longer attack or change its position. Plus, it inflicts 500 direct damage to you at the beginning of my turn. Your move."
"Urgh! I play Skilled Dark Magician (1500/1800) in defense mode," said Yami "Then I'll set two cards (Mirror Force, Pot of Greed) and activate my Pot of Greed! Whenever a spell card is activated, a spell counter goes onto my Skilled Dark magician. Your move."
"Really, this is getting boring," said Yami Marik "So why not make it a little more fun?" The Eye of Horus glowed brightly on his forehead. A black cloud surrounded the duelists.
"Bakura!" yelled Ryou "He's starting a Shadow Game!"
"As if I hadn't noticed!" yelled the tomb robber."
Suddenly, the black mist retreated as suddenly as it had arrived.
"Everybody O.K.?" asked Yami, over the cursing of Yami Marik.
A common perception among humans is that violence is the solution to any problem. As such, we believe that if something doesn't work, such as an appliance, hitting it will solve the problem. Yami Marik was no exception to this train of thought.
"RA-DAMNED ROD!" he screamed, bashing the Millennium item against the ground "WHY WON'T YOU WORK?"
Evidently, the spirit's Millennium item was no cooperating as he wanted it to.
"BAKA PHARAOH!" Yami Marik yelled "YOU DID THIS! You used your puzzle to dispel my Shadow Game, coward!"
"Enough of this, Yami Marik," said Yami "I was not the cause. The Millennium items are seeking new owners. Apparently, you are no longer worthy of bearing the Millennium Rod. Without your Millennium item, you are nothing."
"Look, Pharaoh, I don't need my Millennium item to defeat you! We have a duel to finish!"
"One more defeat won't help you. Anyways, I believe it was your turn."
"No hurry," said Yami Marik "I'll summon Black Forest Witch in defense (1100/1200) and end my turn. Oh, and don't forget Nightmare Wheel's effect."
YAMI: 3500
YAMI MARIK: 2000
"Good!" said Yami "Because I am about to finish this duel! I summon Gamma the Magnet Warrior (1500/1800) in attack mode. The I sacrifice Gamma and my Skilled Dark Magician to summon Dark Magician of Chaos (2800/2600) in defense! As his effect, I can return a spell card from my graveyard to my hand. Your move!"
"Too bad, Pharaoh, I will be the one to finish this duel! First, I sacrifice Black Forest Witch to summon Byser Shock in attack mode (800/600)! When It is summoned, all set cards return to their owner's hands! Then, I'll play Raigeki, destroying all your monsters, followed by Energy Drain. This card increases Byser Shock's attack by 200 points for each card in your hand. Let's see, six times 200, why, that's twelve hundred lifepoints! Oh, and as per my Black Forest Witch's effect, I search my deck for a monster with 1500 defense or less, and I choose my Karate Man (1000/1000). Byser Shock, attack!"

"Once again, Yami Marik, you act impulsively. This will be your downfall. I summon Big Shield Guarder (100/2600) in defense mode and I set one card. Your move."
"Um, Pharaoh? You do realize I'm about to crush you, right? First, I'll play my Karate Man (1000/1000) in attack mode. I can double his attack at any time, but he gets destroyed afterward. Then I'll set one card. Your move."
"So, I'll summon Mystical Elf (800/2000) in defense mode, then I'll set one card (Pot of Greed). Your move."
"Here is the monster that will spell your downfall! I tribute your Mystical Elf and your Big Shield Guarder to summon Lava Golem (3000/2500) in attack mode on your side of the field. Before you thank me, remember it inflicts 1000 damage to you at the beginning of your turn. Have fun."

"You have just sealed your fate. I summon Kuriboh (300/200) in defense mode. Then, I activate my Pot of Greed. Next, I play Monster Reborn on my Mystical Elf, giving me the three monsters I need to summon Saint Dragon-God of Osiris!"
The sky grew dark and a roll of thunder announced the arrival of the God. A giant dragon,
looking more like a snake, appeared. It was bright red with two mouthes. Its top one was closed, while the bottom opened in a defiant roar that shook the floor.
"I have six cards in my hand," continued Yami, "meaning Osiris has 6000 attack and defense! Osiris, attack!"
The force of the attack shook the office. Yami Marik was blown off his feet as his lifepoints plummeted to zero.
YAMI: 800
YAMI MARIK: 0
Yugi checked Kaiba to see if he was O.K.
"Yugi," said Kaiba, "Thank-you."
Judging by how Bakura's jaw dropped, Kaiba must not have been known for apologizing
often.
"Any time, Kaiba," Yugi said.
Yami Marik was groaning on the floor. Obviousley, the god card's attack had shooken him.
"YOU!" said Kaiba to Yami Marik "I challenge you to a duel!"
"Why?" asked Yugi.
"For threatening my life and trying to steal my Egyptian God card."
"But Kaiba, he's in no state to duel!" protested Yugi.
"Well, do you accept my challenge?" asked kaiba, ignoring Yugi.
Yami Marik stood up, wincing, "Only if you bet your Egyptian God card," he said.
"What will you wager?" asked Kaiba.
"My Millennium item," said Yami Marik.
"I don't believe in this hocus-pocus or in fate! What happened in my past is irrelevant!"
"What's he talking about?" Arrathir asked Bakura.
"A long time ago, Kaiba was the High Preist who tried to overthrow the pharoah using
the Shadow Games. The pharoah won. Since Kaiba is the reincarnation of the High Priest
this would make him the owner of the Millennium Rod."
"I have nothing else to wager," said Yami Marik.
"Fine!" said Kaiba, exasperated.
"Kaiba, please! He's not well!" said Yugi.
"I agree," said Khell "I don't think after receiving that blow he would be alright."
"Shut up," said Kaiba "It's time to duel."
The duellists powered up their duel disks, shuffled their decks and their life meters clocked up to 4000.
"I'll go first," said Kaiba "And summon Vors Raider (1900/1200) in attack mode! I'll set one card and end my turn."
"I summon Revival Jam (1500/500) in defense mode and activate my magic card, Jam Breedeing Machine. It creates one Slime token each turn. Your turn."
"I play X-Head Cannon (1800/1500) in attack mode. Now, Vorse raider, attack his Revival Jam!"
The Raider swung his axe at the jelly-like monster, cutting it in two, but the creature
suddenly came back together.
"WHAT?" said Kaiba.
"He, he, Revival Jam is indestructible, Kaiba," said Yami Marik "Since its my turn, I get one Slime Token (500/500), I'll play one card, and it's your turn."
"I summon Lord of Dragons (1200/1100) in defence mode. Next, I'll play one card. Now, X-Head Cannon, attack his Slime Token!"
The cannon fired at the Slime Toke, but Revival Jam jumped in front of the projectile and re-formed.
"What happened?"
"I activated my continuous trap card, Jam Defender! When one of my monsters is attacked, all damage goes to Revival Jam! It's a perfect combo! Now, no matter what you attack with, I will never get hurt!"
"We'll see about that," said Kaiba "Your move."
"Well, look here, I've got two Slime Tokens. Time to summon the card that will finish you off, Nightmare Wheel! I choose your Lord of Dragons! The I'll set one card. Your move."
"I play one card face down, and play Shirnk on my Vors Raider, cutting his attack points in half. Then I play my Crush card! You remeber this one from my duel with your sister. It destroys every monster in your deck with an attack of 1500 or higher!"
Yami Marik watched as his powerful monsters flew to his graveyard, including his Revival Jam.
"Now, X-Head Cannon, attack his Slime Tokens!"
Suddenly, the cannon stopped its attack and Kaiba's lifepoints dropped to 3000.
"Activate trap card," said Yami Marik "Demon Mirror of Nightmares! It negates your monster's attack and deals 1000 damage to you. You may have stopped my Revival Jam combo, but my deck has many other surprises."
"Your move," said Kaiba.
KAIBA: 2500
YAMI MARIK: 4000
"Alright, I summon Drillago (1600/1100) in attack mode. Your move."
"I sacrifice my Vors Raider and X-Head Cannon to summon the mighty Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500) in attack mode! Then I equip my Lord of Dragons with Flute of Dragon Summon to summon my other two Blue Eyes White Dragons! Then, I play the card Polymerization to fuse my three dragons into the unstoppable Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
(4500/3800)! Since fusion monsters can't attack the same turn they are summoned, I'll end my turn."
KAIBA: 2000
YAMI MARIK: 4000
"Too bad, I set one card and flip my Jowls of Dark Demise (200/100) over. It allows me to take control of one of your monsters until end of turn. The monster can attack your lifepoints directly. Guess which monster I'm taking?"
Kaiba watched as his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon appeared on Yami Marik's side of the field.
"Now, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, attakc Kaiba's lifepoints directly!"
"Reveal face down card! Attack Nullification! Now my Blue Eyes, return to your rightful owner!"
The dragon re-appeared on Kaiba's side of the field.
"Then," said Kaiba, "I'll attack your Slime Token with Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! White Lightning attack!"
KAIBA: 2000
YAMI MARIK: 0
Yami Marik collapsed to the floor.
Just then, the Millennium Rod began to glow.
"Now," said Kaiba "Time for me to claim what is mine."
He bent over to pick up the Millennium Rod, but Khell put his foot on the artifact.
"Kaiba," he said "That duel was unfair. Your opponent was not fit for duelling. Therefore,
your duel was void and you do not touch this item."
"Who are you to stop me?" asked Kaiba "I won, fair and square."
"Then I shall have to duel you to protect this item."
"Fine!" said Kaiba "Another chance to prove my deck is superior."
Arrathir removed his deck from his Duel Disk and gave it to Khell.
The two duellists stood in front of each other, Khell slipped his deck into the Duel Disk, the decks were shuffled, life meters clocked up to 10,000...
"DUEL!"
"I'll go first," said Khell "And summon Barbtooth Wurm (3000/2000). The I'll set one card
(Carbonize).
As the Wurm formed, Arrathir felt a surge of mana from Khell. He was summoning a real
creature!
"Now I attack you directly with Barbtooth Wurm!"
The Wurm roared and charged Kaiba, knocking him down.
KAIBA: 7000
KHELL: 10,000
"My turn," said Kaiba "I summon Z-Metal Tank (1500/1300) and set one card. Your move."
"I summon Canopy Dragon (2000/2000) and I set one card (Thunderclap). Your move."
Again, Arrathir felt the mana eminating from the summoned monster. Why was Khell summoning real creatures? Didn't he know he was hurting Kaiba? With a surge of panic, he realized Khell was going to kill Kaiba if he continued. He had to stop the duel!
"I'll show you a real dragon!" said Kaiba "I summon Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500) and set one card. Now, I play Raigeki, destroying your monsters! Now my dragon attacks you directly!"
"I activate my two facedown cards, Thunderclap and Carbonzise, dealing 3000 damage to your dragon! Now, I'll summon Venomsprout Brackus (2500/2500) and play Lightning Surge, dealing 2000 direct damage to you!"
Kaiba screamed in pain as the electicity coursed through his body.
KAIBA: 5000
KHELL: 7000
"And now my Venomsprout Brackus attacks you!"
"I activate my trap card, Mechanical Magic Mirror. It allows me to actiavte one Magic card from your graveyard. I activate your Lightning Surge, dealing the damage to your creature!"
"I end my turn," said Khell.
"I summon Lord of Dragons (1200/1100) and set one card. Z-Metal Tank, attack!"
KAIBA: 5000
KHELL: 5500
"I summon Trolls of Tel-Jilad(2500/3000)," said Khell "If I tap two of my creatures, they
regenerate any green creature. Then I set one card (Sylvan Might). Your turn."
"I play one monster face down, and then I play Monster Reborn to bring my Blue Eyes White Dragon back in play! Blue Eyes, attack!"
"I activate my facedown card, Sylvan Might, giving my Trolls of Tel-Jilad 1000/1000 until
end of turn! Then I block your dragon with my Trolls of Tel-Jilad!"
"Ha!" said Kaiba "I activate my facedown card, Magic Absorption. When my opponent
increases his or her monster's attack strength by a magic effect, my monster absorbs those
points. So my Blue Eyes is now a 4000/3500! End of turn!

KHELL: 4500
"I summon Scoria Wurm (3500/3500)! Every turn, I have to flip a coin. If I loose, it goes
back to my hand. Then I set one card (Moment's Peace). Your turn."
"The end is near for you! I offer Blue Eyes White Dragon, Lord of Dragons, and Z-Metal
Tank to summon the God of the Stone Tower, Obelisk the Tormentor!"
Khell stared in awe as a blue light shot down from above, the God Obelisk appearing from the light, towering over the duellists.
"Obelisk!" yelled Kaiba, attack!
The God raised his mighty fist and brought is crashing down on Khell's Wurm. When the
God removed his fist, the Wurm was still standing.
"I activated my card, Moment's Peace, to stop all battle damage. Might I tell you it has flashback, meaning I can play it once again from the graveyard."
Kaiba growled. "Your turn."
"Time for me to bring out a creature to stand up to your God. I give you, the Avatar of Might (4000/4000)!"
From the ground burst a giant form. It grew to the height of Obelisk and stared the God
straight in the eye.
"Next," said Khell "I'll equip Slagwurm Armour to my Avatar of Might, increasing hid defence by 3000. The I'll set one card (Natural Spring). Now I flip to see if my Scoria Wurm stays in play. I call heads!"
A giant coin appeared on the field. On one side was a tree, the other side was blank. The
coin flipped through the air before falling to the ground, the tree facing up.
"Heads!" excliamed Khell "Scoria Wurm stays in play. Your turn."
"I play Enemy Controller! For the price of 1000 lifepoints, I can take control of one of
your monsters until the end of my turn! I seize control of your Avatar of Might! Then I set one card. Now, Obelisk, Avatar of Might, attack!"
"I block Obelisk with Scoria Wum, then flashback my Sylvan Might, giving my Wurm 1000/1000! Your God is destroyed! In fact, I flashback my Moment's Peace to prevent the damage done this turn!"
However, Khell's Scoria Wurm met with Obelisk with a titanic crash and the Avatar of
Might continued on its course, dealing a crushing blow to Khell.

KHELL: 500
"I activated my trap card, Magic Jammer," said Kaiba to negate the effect of your magic
card."
"Now," said Khell "I play one of the most powerful cards in my deck, Crush of Wurms, putting three 3000/3000 Wurms into play! Then I play Natural Spring. I gain 4000 lifepoints!"
KAIBA: 4000
KHELL: 4500
Kaiba watched in horror as the three Wurms appeared. Next, Khell won the flip for Scoria Wurm.
"Avatar of Might!" yelled Khell "Attack Kaiba directly!"
"Activate trap card," said Kaiba "Attack Nullification! Your monster deals no damage."
"End of turn," said Khell.
"I summon Vors Raider (1900/1200), the I play Premature Burial. I pay 800 lifepoints to
summon a monster from my graveyard. Obelisk returns to the field!"
KAIBA: 3200
KHELL: 4500
Khell groaned as the God re-appeared on the field.
"How will that help you?" he asked "My Avatar of Might is still more powerful than your
God."
"Yes," said Kaiba "But I play this card next, Change of Heart! I take control of your
Avatar until the end of my turn! Obelisk, Avatar of Might, attack!"
"I block Obelisk with my three Wurms, and Avatar of Might with Scoria Wurm."
"Activate trap card, Ring of Destruction! Your Avatar of Might is destroyed, dealing 4000
damage to each of us, except, I activate my Ring of Protection, meaning my lifepoints are
protected from the damage. Then, I discard one card from my hand, activating Guard of Card!
It negates all damage done to my monsters, meaning two of your Wurms are still destroyed. End of turn!"
Khell watched as his Avatar of Might exploded, reducing his lifepoints by 4000.
KAIBA: 3200
KHELL: 500
"I summon Whiptail Wurm (4000/2500) and equip it with Slagwurm Armour."
"Wait," said Kaiba "It was equipped to you Avatar of Might, which was destroyed!"
"True, but equipments aren't destroyed if the equipped monster is destroyed. So now my
Whiptail Wurm is a 4000/5500. I call tails for the flip on Scoria Wurm."
This time, Khell lost the flip. His monster dissapeared from the field and returned to his hand.
"I equip my Whiptail Wurm with Loxodon Warhammer, which increases its attack by 1500 and when it deals damage, I gain that much life, so let's see, its now a 6500/5500! Whiptail Wurm, attack!"
As the Wurm charged Kaiba's monsters, a powerful sound wave came from Kaiba's cards. The Wurm stopped in its tracks, disturbed by the powerful sound. It roared, the retreated back to Khell's side of the field.
"I activated my magic card, Command Silencer," said Kaiba, in response to Khell's questionning look. "It negates the attack of your monster and causes you to draw one card."
"I set one card (Flame Burst) and play Firebolt, dealing 1000 direct damage to you!"
A flame shot from Khell's fingertips and hit Kaiba in the chest.
KAIBA:2200
KHELL: 500
"I play Sub-Space Matter Transfer Device, removing Obelisk from the game until end of turn. Next, I play Black Hole, destroying all monsters in play!"
Khell watched as all the monsters on the field were sucked into a vortex.
"Now Obelisk comes back in play. Your turn!"
"I summon Scoria Wurm, equipping it with Slagwurm Armour and Loxodon Warhammer, making it a 5000/7500! Next, I flashback my Lightning Surge and since I have more than seven cards in my graveyard, it deals 3000 non-preventable damage to Obelisk. Next, I activate my facedown card, Flame Burst, dealing 1000 damage to Obelisk, destroying it!"
Kaiba watched helplessly as a gigantic bolt of lightning struck his God, followed by a jet
of flames.
"Now to finish this duel!" said Khell "Scoria Wurm, attack!"
No! That attack is going to kill Kaiba!
Just then, the Wurm exploded in a million fragments of mana.
"WHAT?" said Khell and Kaiba at the same time.
Suddenly, they were aware of a new presence in the room. A cloaked figure appeared. It held a staff in its hands. Arrathir could feel the power eminating from the figure.
"That will do, Khell," it said.
"Who are you?" asked Khell "And how do you know my name?"
"My name," it said "is Lu Chao. I am a Justicar Planeswalker."
"Justicar Planeswalker?" Khell gasped, before powering down his Duel Disk.

looking more like a snake, appeared. It was bright red with two mouthes. Its top one was closed, while the bottom opened in a defiant roar that shook the floor.
"I have six cards in my hand," continued Yami, "meaning Osiris has 6000 attack and defense! Osiris, attack!"
The force of the attack shook the office. Yami Marik was blown off his feet as his lifepoints plummeted to zero.
YAMI: 800
YAMI MARIK: 0
Yugi checked Kaiba to see if he was O.K.
"Yugi," said Kaiba, "Thank-you."
Judging by how Bakura's jaw dropped, Kaiba must not have been known for apologizing
often.
"Any time, Kaiba," Yugi said.
Yami Marik was groaning on the floor. Obviousley, the god card's attack had shooken him.
"YOU!" said Kaiba to Yami Marik "I challenge you to a duel!"
"Why?" asked Yugi.
"For threatening my life and trying to steal my Egyptian God card."
"But Kaiba, he's in no state to duel!" protested Yugi.
"Well, do you accept my challenge?" asked kaiba, ignoring Yugi.
Yami Marik stood up, wincing, "Only if you bet your Egyptian God card," he said.
"What will you wager?" asked Kaiba.
"My Millennium item," said Yami Marik.
"I don't believe in this hocus-pocus or in fate! What happened in my past is irrelevant!"
"What's he talking about?" Arrathir asked Bakura.
"A long time ago, Kaiba was the High Preist who tried to overthrow the pharoah using
the Shadow Games. The pharoah won. Since Kaiba is the reincarnation of the High Priest
this would make him the owner of the Millennium Rod."
"I have nothing else to wager," said Yami Marik.
"Fine!" said Kaiba, exasperated.
"Kaiba, please! He's not well!" said Yugi.
"I agree," said Khell "I don't think after receiving that blow he would be alright."
"Shut up," said Kaiba "It's time to duel."
The duellists powered up their duel disks, shuffled their decks and their life meters clocked up to 4000.
"I'll go first," said Kaiba "And summon Vors Raider (1900/1200) in attack mode! I'll set one card and end my turn."
"I summon Revival Jam (1500/500) in defense mode and activate my magic card, Jam Breedeing Machine. It creates one Slime token each turn. Your turn."
"I play X-Head Cannon (1800/1500) in attack mode. Now, Vorse raider, attack his Revival Jam!"
The Raider swung his axe at the jelly-like monster, cutting it in two, but the creature
suddenly came back together.
"WHAT?" said Kaiba.
"He, he, Revival Jam is indestructible, Kaiba," said Yami Marik "Since its my turn, I get one Slime Token (500/500), I'll play one card, and it's your turn."
"I summon Lord of Dragons (1200/1100) in defence mode. Next, I'll play one card. Now, X-Head Cannon, attack his Slime Token!"
The cannon fired at the Slime Toke, but Revival Jam jumped in front of the projectile and re-formed.
"What happened?"
"I activated my continuous trap card, Jam Defender! When one of my monsters is attacked, all damage goes to Revival Jam! It's a perfect combo! Now, no matter what you attack with, I will never get hurt!"
"We'll see about that," said Kaiba "Your move."
"Well, look here, I've got two Slime Tokens. Time to summon the card that will finish you off, Nightmare Wheel! I choose your Lord of Dragons! The I'll set one card. Your move."
"I play one card face down, and play Shirnk on my Vors Raider, cutting his attack points in half. Then I play my Crush card! You remeber this one from my duel with your sister. It destroys every monster in your deck with an attack of 1500 or higher!"
Yami Marik watched as his powerful monsters flew to his graveyard, including his Revival Jam.
"Now, X-Head Cannon, attack his Slime Tokens!"
Suddenly, the cannon stopped its attack and Kaiba's lifepoints dropped to 3000.
"Activate trap card," said Yami Marik "Demon Mirror of Nightmares! It negates your monster's attack and deals 1000 damage to you. You may have stopped my Revival Jam combo, but my deck has many other surprises."
"Your move," said Kaiba.
KAIBA: 2500
YAMI MARIK: 4000
"Alright, I summon Drillago (1600/1100) in attack mode. Your move."
"I sacrifice my Vors Raider and X-Head Cannon to summon the mighty Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500) in attack mode! Then I equip my Lord of Dragons with Flute of Dragon Summon to summon my other two Blue Eyes White Dragons! Then, I play the card Polymerization to fuse my three dragons into the unstoppable Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
(4500/3800)! Since fusion monsters can't attack the same turn they are summoned, I'll end my turn."
KAIBA: 2000
YAMI MARIK: 4000
"Too bad, I set one card and flip my Jowls of Dark Demise (200/100) over. It allows me to take control of one of your monsters until end of turn. The monster can attack your lifepoints directly. Guess which monster I'm taking?"
Kaiba watched as his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon appeared on Yami Marik's side of the field.
"Now, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, attakc Kaiba's lifepoints directly!"
"Reveal face down card! Attack Nullification! Now my Blue Eyes, return to your rightful owner!"
The dragon re-appeared on Kaiba's side of the field.
"Then," said Kaiba, "I'll attack your Slime Token with Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! White Lightning attack!"
KAIBA: 2000
YAMI MARIK: 0
Yami Marik collapsed to the floor.
Just then, the Millennium Rod began to glow.
"Now," said Kaiba "Time for me to claim what is mine."
He bent over to pick up the Millennium Rod, but Khell put his foot on the artifact.
"Kaiba," he said "That duel was unfair. Your opponent was not fit for duelling. Therefore,
your duel was void and you do not touch this item."
"Who are you to stop me?" asked Kaiba "I won, fair and square."
"Then I shall have to duel you to protect this item."
"Fine!" said Kaiba "Another chance to prove my deck is superior."
Arrathir removed his deck from his Duel Disk and gave it to Khell.
The two duellists stood in front of each other, Khell slipped his deck into the Duel Disk, the decks were shuffled, life meters clocked up to 10,000...
"DUEL!"
"I'll go first," said Khell "And summon Barbtooth Wurm (3000/2000). The I'll set one card
(Carbonize).
As the Wurm formed, Arrathir felt a surge of mana from Khell. He was summoning a real
creature!
"Now I attack you directly with Barbtooth Wurm!"
The Wurm roared and charged Kaiba, knocking him down.
KAIBA: 7000
KHELL: 10,000
"My turn," said Kaiba "I summon Z-Metal Tank (1500/1300) and set one card. Your move."
"I summon Canopy Dragon (2000/2000) and I set one card (Thunderclap). Your move."
Again, Arrathir felt the mana eminating from the summoned monster. Why was Khell summoning real creatures? Didn't he know he was hurting Kaiba? With a surge of panic, he realized Khell was going to kill Kaiba if he continued. He had to stop the duel!
"I'll show you a real dragon!" said Kaiba "I summon Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500) and set one card. Now, I play Raigeki, destroying your monsters! Now my dragon attacks you directly!"
"I activate my two facedown cards, Thunderclap and Carbonzise, dealing 3000 damage to your dragon! Now, I'll summon Venomsprout Brackus (2500/2500) and play Lightning Surge, dealing 2000 direct damage to you!"
Kaiba screamed in pain as the electicity coursed through his body.
KAIBA: 5000
KHELL: 7000
"And now my Venomsprout Brackus attacks you!"
"I activate my trap card, Mechanical Magic Mirror. It allows me to actiavte one Magic card from your graveyard. I activate your Lightning Surge, dealing the damage to your creature!"
"I end my turn," said Khell.
"I summon Lord of Dragons (1200/1100) and set one card. Z-Metal Tank, attack!"
KAIBA: 5000
KHELL: 5500
"I summon Trolls of Tel-Jilad(2500/3000)," said Khell "If I tap two of my creatures, they
regenerate any green creature. Then I set one card (Sylvan Might). Your turn."
"I play one monster face down, and then I play Monster Reborn to bring my Blue Eyes White Dragon back in play! Blue Eyes, attack!"
"I activate my facedown card, Sylvan Might, giving my Trolls of Tel-Jilad 1000/1000 until
end of turn! Then I block your dragon with my Trolls of Tel-Jilad!"
"Ha!" said Kaiba "I activate my facedown card, Magic Absorption. When my opponent
increases his or her monster's attack strength by a magic effect, my monster absorbs those
points. So my Blue Eyes is now a 4000/3500! End of turn!
KAIBA: 5000
KHELL: 4500
"I summon Scoria Wurm (3500/3500)! Every turn, I have to flip a coin. If I loose, it goes
back to my hand. Then I set one card (Moment's Peace). Your turn."
"The end is near for you! I offer Blue Eyes White Dragon, Lord of Dragons, and Z-Metal
Tank to summon the God of the Stone Tower, Obelisk the Tormentor!"
Khell stared in awe as a blue light shot down from above, the God Obelisk appearing from the light, towering over the duellists.
"Obelisk!" yelled Kaiba, attack!
The God raised his mighty fist and brought is crashing down on Khell's Wurm. When the
God removed his fist, the Wurm was still standing.
"I activated my card, Moment's Peace, to stop all battle damage. Might I tell you it has flashback, meaning I can play it once again from the graveyard."
Kaiba growled. "Your turn."
"Time for me to bring out a creature to stand up to your God. I give you, the Avatar of Might (4000/4000)!"
From the ground burst a giant form. It grew to the height of Obelisk and stared the God
straight in the eye.
"Next," said Khell "I'll equip Slagwurm Armour to my Avatar of Might, increasing hid defence by 3000. The I'll set one card (Natural Spring). Now I flip to see if my Scoria Wurm stays in play. I call heads!"
A giant coin appeared on the field. On one side was a tree, the other side was blank. The
coin flipped through the air before falling to the ground, the tree facing up.
"Heads!" excliamed Khell "Scoria Wurm stays in play. Your turn."
"I play Enemy Controller! For the price of 1000 lifepoints, I can take control of one of
your monsters until the end of my turn! I seize control of your Avatar of Might! Then I set one card. Now, Obelisk, Avatar of Might, attack!"
"I block Obelisk with Scoria Wum, then flashback my Sylvan Might, giving my Wurm 1000/1000! Your God is destroyed! In fact, I flashback my Moment's Peace to prevent the damage done this turn!"
However, Khell's Scoria Wurm met with Obelisk with a titanic crash and the Avatar of
Might continued on its course, dealing a crushing blow to Khell.
KAIBA: 4000
KHELL: 500
"I activated my trap card, Magic Jammer," said Kaiba to negate the effect of your magic
card."
"Now," said Khell "I play one of the most powerful cards in my deck, Crush of Wurms, putting three 3000/3000 Wurms into play! Then I play Natural Spring. I gain 4000 lifepoints!"
KAIBA: 4000
KHELL: 4500
Kaiba watched in horror as the three Wurms appeared. Next, Khell won the flip for Scoria Wurm.
"Avatar of Might!" yelled Khell "Attack Kaiba directly!"
"Activate trap card," said Kaiba "Attack Nullification! Your monster deals no damage."
"End of turn," said Khell.
"I summon Vors Raider (1900/1200), the I play Premature Burial. I pay 800 lifepoints to
summon a monster from my graveyard. Obelisk returns to the field!"
KAIBA: 3200
KHELL: 4500
Khell groaned as the God re-appeared on the field.
"How will that help you?" he asked "My Avatar of Might is still more powerful than your
God."
"Yes," said Kaiba "But I play this card next, Change of Heart! I take control of your
Avatar until the end of my turn! Obelisk, Avatar of Might, attack!"
"I block Obelisk with my three Wurms, and Avatar of Might with Scoria Wurm."
"Activate trap card, Ring of Destruction! Your Avatar of Might is destroyed, dealing 4000
damage to each of us, except, I activate my Ring of Protection, meaning my lifepoints are
protected from the damage. Then, I discard one card from my hand, activating Guard of Card!
It negates all damage done to my monsters, meaning two of your Wurms are still destroyed. End of turn!"
Khell watched as his Avatar of Might exploded, reducing his lifepoints by 4000.
KAIBA: 3200
KHELL: 500
"I summon Whiptail Wurm (4000/2500) and equip it with Slagwurm Armour."
"Wait," said Kaiba "It was equipped to you Avatar of Might, which was destroyed!"
"True, but equipments aren't destroyed if the equipped monster is destroyed. So now my
Whiptail Wurm is a 4000/5500. I call tails for the flip on Scoria Wurm."
This time, Khell lost the flip. His monster dissapeared from the field and returned to his hand.
"I equip my Whiptail Wurm with Loxodon Warhammer, which increases its attack by 1500 and when it deals damage, I gain that much life, so let's see, its now a 6500/5500! Whiptail Wurm, attack!"
As the Wurm charged Kaiba's monsters, a powerful sound wave came from Kaiba's cards. The Wurm stopped in its tracks, disturbed by the powerful sound. It roared, the retreated back to Khell's side of the field.
"I activated my magic card, Command Silencer," said Kaiba, in response to Khell's questionning look. "It negates the attack of your monster and causes you to draw one card."
"I set one card (Flame Burst) and play Firebolt, dealing 1000 direct damage to you!"
A flame shot from Khell's fingertips and hit Kaiba in the chest.
KAIBA:2200
KHELL: 500
"I play Sub-Space Matter Transfer Device, removing Obelisk from the game until end of turn. Next, I play Black Hole, destroying all monsters in play!"
Khell watched as all the monsters on the field were sucked into a vortex.
"Now Obelisk comes back in play. Your turn!"
"I summon Scoria Wurm, equipping it with Slagwurm Armour and Loxodon Warhammer, making it a 5000/7500! Next, I flashback my Lightning Surge and since I have more than seven cards in my graveyard, it deals 3000 non-preventable damage to Obelisk. Next, I activate my facedown card, Flame Burst, dealing 1000 damage to Obelisk, destroying it!"
Kaiba watched helplessly as a gigantic bolt of lightning struck his God, followed by a jet
of flames.
"Now to finish this duel!" said Khell "Scoria Wurm, attack!"
No! That attack is going to kill Kaiba!
Just then, the Wurm exploded in a million fragments of mana.
"WHAT?" said Khell and Kaiba at the same time.
Suddenly, they were aware of a new presence in the room. A cloaked figure appeared. It held a staff in its hands. Arrathir could feel the power eminating from the figure.
"That will do, Khell," it said.
"Who are you?" asked Khell "And how do you know my name?"
"My name," it said "is Lu Chao. I am a Justicar Planeswalker."
"Justicar Planeswalker?" Khell gasped, before powering down his Duel Disk.

Author's Note: I know some of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards don't have the same effect in the real game, but I was trying to stay as close to the anime as possible.
