"So who's left?" asked Joey when he returned to the duellist room "Ryou, Kaiba, the one guy who hasn't shown up, and Yami Marik. Speaking of which, where is that psycho? I haven't, seen him yet, not that I want to."
"He's hiding," said Yami "He will not risk showing himself until the time is right. I defeated him once, I can defeat him again."
"We know you can, Yuge," said Joey "After all, you've got your God cards!"
"Will Seto Kaiba and Ryou Bakura report to the duelling ring?" said Judge Komo.
"Bakura against Moneybags?" said Joey "This I gotta see!"
Ryou stood up and his hair spiked up as Bakura took over.
"Please, Bakura," said Yugi "No Shadow Duels!"
"Come one, Pharaoh, it's me, remember?" said Bakura, smiling evilly.
"That's what I'm afraid of," said Yugi, watching him leave.
"Welcome to Round Four of the finals," said Judge Komo "In this round we have Battle City finalist Ryou Bakura against KaibaCorp C.E.O and Battle City runner-up, Seto Kaiba!"
"Let's duel!"
"I'll take first turn," said Kaiba " And summon Blood Vors (1900/1200) in attack mode. I set one card and end my turn!"
"I set one monster in attack mode," said Bakura "And I end my turn."
"Fool," said Kaiba "You didn't even set a trap or magic card? Your loss. I summon X-Head Cannon (1800/1500) in attack mode! Now, Blood Vors, attack his facedown card!" Kaiba's warrior charged at the card and sliced it in half, revealing Earthbound Spirit (500/2000).

"And now, X-Head Cannon, direct attack on his lifepoints!" The machine charged up its laser cannon before hurling its projectile directly at Bakura.

"I set one card and end my turn," said Kaiba.
"I set one card in attack mode," said Bakura "And summon Sagan (100/600) in defence mode." A small critter appeared kneeling on the field. "Then I set one card and end my turn."
"I've just drawn the engine of your destruction," said Kaiba "I tribute X-Head Cannon and Blood Vors to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500)!" The mighty creature appeared on the field. "Blue-Eyes, attack his facedown card, Burst Stream!" When the attack hit the card, it flipped over to reveal a dark ball.
"You've attacked my Morphing Jar (700/600)!" said Bakura "When this card is flip summoned, we each discard our hands and draw five cards."

"End turn."
"I summon Death Caliber Knight (1900/1800) in defence mode. Then, I remove Earthbound Spirit and the Kuriboh and Sagan I discarded to summon Dark Necrofear (2200/2800) in attack mode!" A blue-skinned woman dressed in armour appeared, holding a broken doll that looked like a baby. "I set one card and end my turn."
"I summon Z Metal Tank (1500/1300) in attack mode," said Kaiba "Now, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack his Dark Necrofear!" The dragon opened its mouth, gathering energy for the attack. It fired a white ball of light at Bakura's creature, obliterating it. "And Z Metal Tank, take out his Sagan!"

"How short is your memory, Kaiba," said Bakura "When Dark Necrofear is in the graveyard, you know what happens: Dark Sanctuary!" As Bakura spoke, the field grew dark, as if a Shadow Game was happening. "I summon Headless Knight, in attack mode," said Bakura "However, to keep Dark Sanctuary in play, I must sacrifice one monster, so I sacrifice Headless Knight. I activate the continuous magic card, Dark Door. Each player may only attack once each turn. I set one card and end my turn."
"How foolish can you get?" said Kaiba "I summon Y Dragon Head (1500/1600) in attack mode and fuse it with Z Metal tank to form YZ Tank Dragon (2100/2200)! Now I can wipe out your lifepoints in one attack!"
"Have your forgotten?" asked Bakura "When Dark Sanctuary is in play, the evil ghost possesses one of your monsters. If you attack with the possessed monster, it attacks you. Feeling lucky?"
Kaiba paused. The temptation to wipe out Bakura's lifepoints and win the duel was strong, but he didn't know which one of his monsters was possessed. He figured since Bakura knew Blue-Eyes white Dragon was his favourite card, he probably made the ghost possess that one, or maybe he didn't. He would have to take the risk.
"YZ Tank Dragon, attack his lifepoints directly!"
"Good choice," said Bakura "Your Blue-Eyes White Dragon was the possessed monster, but now I activate my trap card, Dark Spirit of Silence! It negates your attack and I choose another one of your monsters to attack instead. Care to guess which one?"
Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon turned and attacked its master.
"Half the possessed monster's attack points are deducted from your lifepoints and added to mine," said Bakura.

"And now," said Bakura "I activate my other trap card, Ouija Board!" A large Ouija board appeared on the field, the planchette resting on the letter "D". "You know what this does," said Bakura "At the end of your turn I can play one Spirit Message card from my deck or hand. When the Spirit Message cards "E", "A", "T", and "H" are on the field, spelling "DEATH", the duel will be over. You have four more turns to live!"
"I set one card and end my turn," said Kaiba.
"I summon Puppet Master (0/0), in defence mode," said Bakura "At the cost of 1000 lifepoints, I may special summon three monsters from my graveyard to play. I summon Death Calibre Knight (1900/1800), Headless Knight (1450/1700), in attack mode and Sagan (100/600) in defence mode. I also summon White Magical Hat (1000/700) in attack mode. And I sacrifice Puppet Master to maintain Dark Sanctuary."

"I set one monster in defence mode," said Kaiba "And I play Harpie's Feather Duster, destroying all your magic and trap cards!"
"No you don't! Magic Jammer!"
"End turn."
The planchette on the Ouija board suddenly moved over onto the letter "E".
"D-E," said Bakura "Three more turns! I summon Possessed Painting (12000/1500) and sacrifice White Magical Hat to maintain Dark Sancutary. I set one card and end my turn."
"I Flip Summon Giant Soldier of Stone (1300/2000). Next, I tribute Giant Soldier of Stone and YZ Tank Dragon to summon another Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000/2500)! Blue-Eyes, attack his Headless Knight and Death Caliber Knight!"
"Sorry Kaiba," said Bakura "Reveal continuous trap card, Ghost Mirror! By removing a fiend-type monster from my graveyard from the game, I can negate the attack of one of your monsters. You guessed it! The possessed Blue-Eyes attacks you back!"

"I end my turn," said Kaiba, as the planchette moved to the letter "A".
"I tribute Possessed Painting and Sagan to summon Dark Ruler Ha Des (2450/1600), in attack mode! I sacrifice Headless Knight into Dark Sanctuary, set one card and end my turn."
"I play Premature Burial," said Kaiba "To return Y Dragon Head to play. Next I activate Pot of Greed, drawing two cards and then I summon Lord of Dragons (1200/1100), in attack mode, equipping him with Flute of Dragon Summon to summon my third Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Now, Polymerization! Arise, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500/3800)!" The three Blue-Eyes White Dragons merged into an enormous three-headed dragon. The three heads roared, baring rows of razor-sharp teeth. "White Lightning attack on his Death Calibre Knight!" commanded Kaiba.
"Did you forget about my Ghost Shield?" asked Bakura "I can simply negate your attack!"
"Fool!" said Kaiba "As long as Lord of Dragons is in play, my dragons are immune to magic and traps!"
The three heads opened their mouths, gathering energy before unleashing their devastating attack at Bakura's creature.

"D-E-A-T!" said Bakura "At the end of your next turn, you loose!"
"On my next turn," said Kaiba "My Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon will obliterate you!"
"I don't think so," said Bakura "Change of Heart on your Lord of Dragons! I tribute him to summon Ghost Duke (2000/1700), in attack mode! Next, I summon Jowgen the Spiritualist (200/1300), in defence mode. This monster's special ability allows me to discard a card at random to destroy all Special Summoned monsters in play! Say good-bye to your dragon!" Kaiba watched in horror as the spellcaster chanted a spell that made his dragon explode into millions of digital shards. "Now I activate Swords of Revealing Light! Enjoy your last turn!"
"When you activated Swords of Revealing Light," said Kaiba "I flip summoned my Magician of Faith (300/400), allowing me to return one magic card from my graveyard to my hand. I play Remove Trap on your Ouija Board!"
"Well, I'll just use Magic Jammer," said Bakura.
"As if I didn't see that coming," sneered Kaiba "I counter with Harpie's Feather Duster!" A whirlwind appeared and blew all of Bakura's trap and magic cards away. The darkness disappeared as Dark Sanctuary was destroyed.
"And now," said Kaiba "I play Monster Reborn to return my Blue-Eyes White Dragon to play! Blue-Eyes attack his Ghost Duke!"

"I set one monster in attack mode," said Bakura "And I set one card. End turn."
"Don't think I'm going to attack that facedown card," said Kaiba "Raigeki!" A lightning bolt destroyed Bakura's facedown card. "Now, Blue-Eyes, finish him!" As the dragon powered up its attack, a long chain appeared from Bakura's side of the field and wrapped itself around the dragon, immobilizing it.
"Activate trap card, Kunai with Chain," said Bakura "This trap allows me to switch one of your monsters to defence mode."
"End turn," growled Kaiba.
"I summon Electric Lizard (850/800), in defence mode," said Bakura as a bright yellow lizard appeared on the field "And I play Monster Reborn to return Ghost Duke to play in defence mode. I set one card and end my turn."
"I play Graceful Charity," said Kaiba, drawing three cards.
"I activate my trap card," said Bakura "Multiple Destruction. This card forces both players to discard their hands and they loose 100 lifepoints per card discarded. Since I have no cards in my hand, I loose none while you loose 400 lifepoints!" Kaiba grumbled and slipped his hand into his graveyard.

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack his Ghost Duke!"
"Is that the best you can do?" asked Bakura as his creature was destroyed "Fine. My turn. I play Dark Hole, destroying all monsters in play!" A vortex appeared in the centre of the field and all the creatures were drawn into it. "Next I summon Lady of Faith (1100/800) in attack mode." A woman dressed in a green cloak appeared on the field. "Lady of Faith, direct attack on his lifepoints!"

"I switch Lady of Faith to defence mode and end my turn."
"I summon Z Metal Tank (1500/1300), in attack mode," said Kaiba as the mechanical monster appeared on the field "Z Metal Tank, crush his Lady of Faith." The tank's cannon fired a shell directly at Bakura's creature, obliterating it.
When Bakura drew his next card, he threw his head back and burst out in maniacal laughter.
"What is so funny," asked Kaiba.
"This!" said Bakura "Dark Necrofear (2200/2800), in attack mode. Dark Necrofear, attack his Z Metal Tank!"

"I play the magic card, Life Shortening Treasure," said Kaiba "This allows me to draw five cards, but five turns later I must discard my entire hand. I set two cards and end my turn."
"You're bluffing," said Bakura "I set one card and attack with Dark Necrofear, finish him!"
"I was not bluffing," said Kaiba "Reveal trap cards, Magical Mechanical Mirror! This card allows me to activate a magic card from your graveyard, so I activate Monster Reborn to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon, in defence mode! You loose 300 lifepoints!" (A/N: When a monster attacks a monster in defence mode, if the defending monster's defence is higher than the attacker's attack, the attacking player looses lifepoints equal to the difference in attack and defence.)

"The winner of the fourth round, Seto Kaiba!" said Judge Komo to the cheering crowd.

Author's note: There you go. I know my chapters have been getting kind of short, and I apologize, but the fact is I'm getting kind of tired of writing duels, so I may be rushing things a bit. Don't worry though. The finals won't be only duelling. Random Yu-Gi-Oh fact: Ever wonder why the American translators gave Joey a Brooklyn accent? It's because Jounouchi (Joey's name in the Japanese anime) has a rough speech pattern. He uses the word teme (a rude form of 'you') when speaking to people he doesn't like.
