Past and Present
Summary: When Shigure discovers a diary in the attic, he has to reflect upon certain events in his past, all to find ways to change his future.

Chapter One
'I knew that this attic needed to be cleaned out. So why couldn't Yuki or Kyo have done it?' Shigure pondered over his question for a while, until he ran across something that look strangely like a journal, no wait, a diary. Shigure picked it up and looked at it.
'Hmm, this it odd, where did this come from? I don't think I've ever seen this dairy before.' The Inu looked at the tiny notebook more closely, only to find that he had seen this diary before, actually to find that it was his diary from when he was a young teenager. He opened it up a out fell a tiny slip of paper. On this slip of paper was a letter written to someone called Ritsuko Takanishi. He couldn't remember who she was.
'Hmm, I wonder when I wrote this?' Then, he remembered who this was. His old girlfriend. The letter read:
Dear Ritsuko,
I'm sorry to have cause you this much pain. I didn't mean to hurt you so badly. I just need some time for myself, to think. I hope you can forgive me. I don't know whether or not I'll see you again. My family is very secretive, so I don't think I will. All I can do is wish you well on your future journeys and to hope that you can meet someone who can sty by your side through anything. I'm sorry, but I cannot.

Even looking at this letter caused him a great deal of sorrow. 'Ritsuko, I hope you have long forgotten about me, that you have finally stopped searching for me. I don't want you to have to think about me everyday.' He suddenly felt his eyes droop, and soon he was off on a wild journey through his mind, seeing every moment he and Ritsuko had spent together.
Off in a distant city, Ritsuko was having the same dreams.

baka-onigiri: Hello, welcome to my first character interview. Today I'll be interviewing, of course, Shigure-sensei!!! So, Shigure, how do you feel about my story so far? Are you enjoying it?
Shigure: Uh, yeah, who are you again? Some big men in black uniforms dragged me from my computer all the way here. And where did you get this storyline, this never happened.
