Yet another dribble about Atlantis incorporating the lyrics of many love songs. Maybe you can guess which ones I've used.

"Don't leave me this way. I can't survive without your sweet love." Sheppard pleaded to his pet fly. "We should be lovers. Throw our lives away for one happy day."

McKay was walking towards Sheppard's quarters when he heard the begging. "I can't help myself and I wouldn't if I could."

"Major Sheppard? Are you high?"

"It's a feeling. Such a feeling. You're the reason I'm so high." Sheppard sighed.

"Maybe I'd better get Dr Beckett?" McKay was starting to have doubts about the Major's sanity.

"I only ever want to go dance with you. A little time with you, my koocachoo."

Now Sheppard was singing.

"Alright. I'm taking you to the infirmary." And with that McKay forcibly shoved Sheppard down the halls of Atlantis.

At the infirmary, Dr Beckett inspected Sheppard's condition.

"Do you feel my heart beating?" Sheppard asked. "I don't want to lose this feeling."

"Major Sheppard. When did you start feeling like 'this'?"

"Do you feel the same? Is this burning an eternal flame?"

"Burning? You've got a fever. High temperature. Are you listening?" Beckett was starting to lose his patience with Sheppard's cryptic answers.

"But the question is? Can you handle mine?"

"Sorry?" Beckett didn't understand.

"They say I'm crazy. I really don't care. That's my prerogative."

"Yes you are. CRAZY! You're driving me up the wall." McKay yelled.

"Our love is strong."

"Omigod!" McKay was clearly frustrated.

"Will you hold my hand? Will you speak of love?"

"Okay maybe it's some sort of alien virus that makes you hallucinate?" McKay finally made it back to the ground. Beckett nodded.

"Baby, it's time to think."

"Hang on. What did you say?"

"You need someone older and wiser telling you what to do."

"I know that." McKay was sure he'd heard those lines before. Even the other ones Sheppard had been babbling.

"What are you talking about Rodney?" Beckett asked.

"I hate to go and leave this pretty sight."

"The Sound of Music!" screamed McKay. And with that he collapsed dramatically.

Ten days later they all died from insanity. Atlantis once again was silent except for the singing that still haunted the empty halls.

"Totally unprepared are you to face a world of men."

I'm so sorry about the ending. I just couldn't go on.
