"Now, what's a woman like you, doing in a place like this?" Stablor asked slyly as he stood at the edge of the bridge watching Benson. She was startled, but recognized his voice. He started to walk toward her on the small bridge as she stay leaning on the railing by her arms. He stood next to her as she looked out at the bushes and weeds that lie out about the bridge.

"This isn't the nicest view" he said as he leaned on the railing too, looking out like she did.

"No, it isn't." She told him as she looked out like she had so many things going on in her mind.

"Then why are you here?" He asked standing straight and looking at the broken bridge. It was wood, cracked, graffiti all over it, and surrounded by weeds and bush- nothing beautiful.

"When I was a kid- I would come here" she started to talk as he looked back at her, still standing straight.

"When I lost all hope- when I got in trouble, when I looked for guidance… I came here" she said holding back any tears that were starting to form.

"Powerful bridge" He said as he leaned against the railing again.

"I hated my mom so much- I hated her- I came to this spot every time I couldn't handle her." She said meanly as she hit the railing with her hand. She turned her head away so she wouldn't have to face him, as he turned to her a little, and put his hand gently on her back.

"Some kids had dolls, some had imaginary friends- and no matter how dumb it sounds, I had this bridge" She said turning back toward him, as he kept his hand on her back lightly still.

"It doesn't sound dumb" he reassured her.

"It just sounds like you needed someone to be there- and no one was." He paused as she closed her eyes.

"But now you have people- you don't need the bridge. It did its part- and I'm sure it's helped others too" He told her as a tear dropped down her cheek.

"You have me- you don't need this bridge any more- you have me" He told her as she stood up straight. She leaned her head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her. She started to cry and he held her tighter.

"It's ok to admit you don't need it- and it's ok to admit you need someone in your life" He told her. She tried to catch her breath- and slow her crying down.

"Thank you" she told him as she looked up at him. He put his hand over the back of her head and held her close.

"You don't need to thank me" he told her as he looked down at her.

"I do" she said as he started to let her head go a little. She reached up to him as he started to lean down. They lightly touched their lips together as they kissed a little deeper. She stopped and smiled as he did.

"I'm sorry" she said smiling as she turned her head away a little.

"Don't be" he told her again as they started to kiss again.
