A long drawn out sigh. I turned to my left, watching Irvy's silky brown hair flutter across his face. He was looking at the stars that freckled the clear night sky, but I could tell he wasn't seeing them. His eyebrows were wrinkled together like they do when he's afraid to say something. I snuggled closer to him, silently asking him what was up. Of course, the silent part was kinda hard, but that's just because I'm never silent.

He turned to me, his beautiful eyes flitting around, kind of avoiding me without really trying. Oh boy, I know it's gonna be bad if he can't even look at his Selphie! I pinched his cheeks, making his gaze rest on me. He smiled kind of akwardly around my fingers. He took my hands in his and entertwined our fingers.

"Hey Sef." His face was a bit blushy. Ohh, must be something really out of the norm to make Irvine Kinneas blush.

"Yeeees Irvy?" I smiled real big to let him know no matter what I wouldn't tease him. Not that I would. Heh, honestly.

"Well, uhm, you know how we have been kind of floating between friendship and more than that? I wanted to make what we have a relationship." He was really blushy now. He pulled one hand away and reached into his pocket. Of course, by now I was giggling and extremely blushy myself. Irvine said he wants a relationship with me! Oh joyous day!

When he pulled his hand out of his pocket, there was a box in it. Not one of those cardboard ones, but the fancy blue velvet ones you get from jewlery stores. OH MY GOD!

I must have looked ready to faint, because he started talking again.

"Now don't freak out missy. It's a promise ring, not an engagement ring." He held it out and flipped the lid open and I swear I must have had the stupidest look on my face because I was so happy!

"If you'll have me, I swear to be only yours and promise to love you for as long as you'll let me. I love you Selphie Tilmitt."

My heart almost lept out of my chest! I could tell my eyes had gone all dreamy as I just stared stupidly at the man in front of me. I felt a smile almost break my face in pieces.

"I love you Irvine!"

I lept on him, bringing my mouth down onto his. We kissed for a little bit, then he pulled away slightly.

"You want me to put the ring on you little missy?"

I nodded and he slipped it on my finger. It was a plain silver band with "Irivine loves Selphie" between two hearts inscribed on it. I hugged my hand to my chest and felt like I was going to cry because I was so happy!

I felt his hand caress my cheek and I looked up at him. He kissed me lightly on the lips and murmured not to cry into my ear. He kissed me again and then we watched the stars together.
