She out him out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette,

She broke his heart he spent his whole life tryin to forget

Sango's Point of View

"They're arguing again," I said to myself.

Kagome's face was bright red from anger. "You only think about yourself and that stupid jewel!" Kagome yelled as I covered my ears. This was the worst fight they'd ever had. "I thought you were different from the other demons, I thought I loved you," she yelled angrily turning and running to the well.

"That must have hurt him a lot," I said seeing tears in the eyes of InuYasha.

We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time.

But he could never get never get drunk enough to get her off his mind.

Miroku's POV

"I think Kagome must have meant it this time," I said thinking aloud. "She still hasn't come back," I turned to InuYasha and then looked at Sango. "And it's tearing InuYasha apart," I said quietly so he wouldn't hear. I saw InuYasha pulled a bottle of Whiskey from his Yukata. "Where'd you get the booze?" I asked him. He said nothing and took a large gulp.

Until the night,

He put the bottle to his head and pulled the trigger,

And finally drank away her memory,

Life is short but this time it was bigger,

Then the strength he had to get up off his knees.

Sango's POV

"Oh my God. Miroku I found him!" I called. We had been searching for InuYasha all night, I found him ripped up badly and close to dead. "I…I don't think he's gonna make it" I said to myself looking at him tears in my eyes. Miroku came to comfort me. InuYasha had been my friend unlike any other demon. It seemed he'd gone out and because he'd had too much whiskey, someone caught him unaware.

We found him with his face down in the pillow,

With a note that said, I'll love her till I die.

And when we buried him beneath the willow

The angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

Miroku's POV

He must have hated the fight he'd had with Kagome. Before he died, he told me one thing, 'I'll love Kagome till I die'. Then I watched him fade away. The bright light I'd always seen in his eyes the determination we'd always called on to get through was gone.

Sango went through the well to get Kagome for the funeral.Kagome hated herself. The last thing she'd done before he died was scream at him. She went back home after we'd buried him near the well. Sango went to see her once in a while.

The rumors flew,

But nobody knew how much she blamed herself.

For years and years,

She tried to hide the whiskey on her breath.

Sango's POV

"Man, Kagome's so upset. Now she's drinking too…she must want to be with InuYasha a lot. . I'm sure it's to ask for forgiveness," I said to myself watching my best friend drinking larger and larger amounts. "Maybe she wants to just forget him. Maybe she just can't take it."

She finally drank her pain away a little at a time,

But she could never get drunk enough to get him off her mind.

Miroku's POV

"It sounds like Kagome's getting worse and worse, I feel so sorry for her," I mumbled to myself.

Until the night,

She put the bottle to her head and pulled the trigger,

And finally drank away his memory,

Life is short but this time it was bigger,

Then the strength she had to get up off her knees.

We found her with her face down in the pillow

Clinging to his picture for dear life,

We laid her next to him beneath the willow,

While the angels sang a Whiskey lullaby.

Sango's POV

"I can't believe it, Kagome' s gone too. My best friend is gone. When I went to look for her she was lying in her room holding a picture of InuYasha limply in her hand now stone cold. We buried her right next to Inu under the big tree near the well. For a minute or two I thought I saw them talking together as ghosts but I can't be sure," I said to myself a glimmer of hope for a new beginning shining down like a gift from heaven.
