Shikamaru lay on top of a building, his half closed eyes watched the clouds go by. His body was debating weather or not to go to sleep. It seemed as though it was stuck in the middle. It was a beautiful day, the breeze was just enough to cool you down from the hot sun. He closed his eyes and was slowly drifting off before a yell made him jump.
"SHIKAMARU!" He jumped up, and nearly fell off the roof. He looked around and saw a blonde girl with a purple onsomblè standing not to far away.
"Hello to you too Ino." He mumbled going to lay back down.
"Hello? What are you doing sleeping on my roof?" She asked angrily.
"Your roof? It's a new one every day." He gave a yawn and closed his eyes, he started to fall asleep when Ino woke him again.
"I dont care if it's a new one, get off my roof. Go sleep on your own."
"Are you crazy? My mother would kill me." He said his eyes still closed.
"Exactly now get off my roof or I'll kill you." He couldn't argue with Ino, he would defeatly lose. He stood up on the end of the roof, he stopped before jumping off.
"Geese, No wonder Sasuke doesn't like you. I dont think anyone could stand your yelling for long." He prepared to jump when he stopped dead in his tracks. What he heard strartled him. Was Ino, crying? He turned around and saw Ino standing there, glaring at him, tears streaking her face. "Oi, dont ...cry..." was all he could say.
"Why is it a lazy bum like you can pass the chunin exam when a great person like Sasuke cant!" She screamed. "What's wrong with you!" He turned fully around to look at her. Normally his insults didn't do a thing to her. He walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry Ino, please dont cry." He whispered. She slammed her fists into his shoulders.
"Why? Why cant people stand me!" She cried.
"I- uh just said that- it's not true Ino." He sputterd.
"So many people leave me, and now you are too. Please Shika, dont leave me." She simply collapsed into tears on his chest.
"I wont leave you." He told her, wrapping her arms around her.
"Why do I like you?" She asked, Shikamaru nearly fell over.
"What!" She pulled away from him and wipped her eyes.
'Nothing forget it." She started to walk away.
"Am I still ordered to get off your roof?" He called she stopped but didn't look at him.
"To tell the truth, I feel better when you stay." She jumped down from the roof. He stared at her for a second.
'The clouds are nice.' He thought as he lied back down and closed his eyes. Letting sleep over take him.
