Bleeding Cross
A cross is a heavy burden indeed
I bear it always within and without.
Whenever I commit a sin it bleeds.
The first crossbeam opened the gates of doubt,
The second beam dulled the assassin's blade.
I'll change the direction of my life's route,
So from Japan's history I shall fade
To be abandoned in bloodied legend,
For all the lives I took must be repaid.
There are many things that I must attend.
I now leave the slaughter of tragic war,
All the wounds I caused I must somehow mend.
Upon her grave I took this oath and swore
To serve others 'til the cross bleeds no more.
