People think I'm heartless
I'm cold
Or a bastard
That cares about no one
But himself
That is the image
I'm forced to carry
On my shoulders
But I can blame no one
But myself
I carry myself this way
To be strong and ruthless
So I won't get used
Like I once was by that devil
Another personality
Born from my hatred
That stares in the eyes
Of those who wish
To give me comfort and relief
But I turn them away
Lying to myself
Saying I don't need them
When really
I want to be their friend
I'm misunderstood
In this world
I want people to see the real me
But I'm afraid
No one ever will
