I don't own the Matrix or any of the characters. I'm just an obsessed fan. Hope you enjoy!

He sat waiting on the bridge of the ship. Looking out into the darkness. Just waiting and thinking. Thinking about her. How she would be leaving soon. He knew she would. Neo had decided to leave and she would go with him. He had seen the look they shared when Neo told everyone his plans. Yes, he knew. There was no way around it. Time to let go.

He rose from his chair and walked slowly back to the main deck.

He watched from the darkness as she came into the room. Saw her speak with him and then turned away as they embraced. Neo turned and left the room as Trinity slumped down onto a ledge and put her head in her hands. He then moved from his hiding place and knelt in front of her. She didn't notice his presence until he reached for her hand.

"Ghost, I didn't hear you come in."

"I didn't mean to scare you," he paused, "You're leaving."

She smiled, "Your intuition never fails, does it brother?"

"Sometimes I wish it were wrong."

She squeezed his hand, "I don't want to say goodbye to you. You are the only family I've ever had."

"Just let me do the talking then," he insisted, "I know where you're going and I know the chances of you coming back are slim, but I just want you to know that I'll be here waiting for you, just in case."

She moved forward and hugged him. "I love you, brother."

"I love you too, Trin."

He pulled away as he saw Neo enter the room. He smiled at Trinity and stood. Trinity stood as well and grabbed her bag.

"I'm going to go say some goodbyes. I'll meet you in a few minutes," she said to Neo.

Ghost turned to leave the room but Neo stopped him.

"Ghost, wait a second."

Ghostturned to face the man who had stolen his dreams.

"Ghost, I know what you've given up for me. I just wanted to say... thank you," Neo said as he held out his hand.

Ghost took it and said, "Take care of her. And good luck. I have faith in you."

He turned and left the room quickly. He hid his emotions well, but maybe not well enough.
