Unfathomable Possibilities

……
All alone and off to the side, Kaito stared longingly at the floating basketball. It was stranded in the middle of a very small water ditch. However, it was all wet now and that always was unpleasant. She carefully maneuvered the ball to her and dropped it back on the pavement. She stared a moment before kicking it lightly to get it rolling. Kaito continued this as the basketball left a long wet trail on the large eight-basket courts.
Physical Education sure sucked.
"How could you? You're all wet! You're a shame to the basketball world! Did you know that? For shame! For shame!" She yelled at the rolling ball.
Hakuba stared. "Are you yelling at the basketball?"
Kaito nodded and pointed to it. "It fell in the drink! It's evil!"
Hakuba sweatdropped and nodded. Unfortunately, just then Aoko lost control of the other basketball and it rolled off the court. Kaito perked up and kicked the wet ball towards Hakuba as she tore off after the dry ball.
"Mine! MINE!"
"Oh…Kay…" Aoko sweatdropped.
Hakuba gave the other ball to Aoko and took off after Kaito. Aoko gave him a questioning glance.
"I stole the ball! I stole the ball!" Cheered Kaito as she tore off to take shelter behind the garbage dumpsters.
Enlightenment dawned on Aoko's face. It was, after all, Hakuba's job to catch thieves.
Kaito bent down and scooped up some rocks. Hakuba paused a moment merely ten feet away unsure whether or not it was wise to pursue her. He decided it was when Kaito began hurling rocks at him.
Kaito 'eeped' and ran up the tennis court ramp. Hakuba followed.
At the top of the ramp Kaito growled warningly as she was cornered. "If you don't leave the premises, Hakuba-kun, I will be forced to stuff the ball under my shirt!"
Hakuba paused, blinked, shook his head, and walked away. Sometimes it just wasn't worth it. This was one of those times.
…Later that night…
The force dodged as the Kaitou hurled a mass amount confetti poppers at them. Hakuba sighed heavily and gave chase as the female thief ran over the darkened rooftop. The Kaitou Kid stood on the edge of the roof as she was silhouetted by the moonlight.
"Tantei-san…" She purred.
Hakuba growled as he stood his ground. "Kid."
The Kaitou flickered her wrist and revealed the object of tonight's escapades. A ruby red gem.
She slid it down the shirt of her tuxedo and oddly enough it was hard to tell where exactly it had gone.
She tipped her hat. "Come and get it Tantei-san.
"I would be honored." he replied.
And then he tackled her.
…Owari…

Disclaimer: Nor my minions or I are the caretakers of the animes we engrave stories in paper—or word processor—about. Though soon we will be and you will know when that day has come.
…I feel like a pervert…Oops…Um…Yeah. I couldn't get the idea out of my head. I'm somewhat disappointed in myself. I love yaoi Hakuba/Kaito fluff. This just really disturbs me…
Does it disturb anyone else or is it just me? I don't think this one's going to too popular. Hmm… Maybe I'll be wrong, ne?
(In other news I just got Cartoon Network! The cable replaced that crappy ToonDisney with Cartoon Network! How sweet it that?)
