Note: This was somewhat inspired by the song Hero, by Chad Kroeger feat. Josey Scott (Spiderman OST), but is by no means a songfic.
They threw me into the detention cell. Those fucking idiots threw me into the god damned detention cell. "You should have obeyed your orders," they said, "you endangered the lives of your teammates." Bullshit! Combat is all about improvisation, but it's not as if those fuckers understand that, with their cushy little desk jobs, ordering us, the real soldiers, about, looking down on us as if they, and only they, are responsible for our existence. Well fuck that, I'm not letting anyone order me around, Seifer Almasy is his own man. Let's see if I ever take another SeeD exam as long as these morons are around, no, I'm going to be powerful enough to have them pissing their pants and I'm going to do it all on my own.
Breaking out of my cell is ridiculously easy, I've done it a million times before. Of course, they still haven't figured out how, but that's my little secret. They're crazy if they think I'm just going to sit on my ass while Rin and that resistance group of hers get "assistance" from a bunch of pussy little wankers like puberty boy and his little friends.
Getting rid of the one guard outside my door is even easier than breaking out. What were they thinking anyway, I mean, just one guard, for me? Idiots, they should never underestimate me, I'll teach them that. I have to find a way out of Garden now, but I can't be noticed, don't want anybody to go tattling to the Headmaster, after all. But, well, just my luck, I suppose, I'm this close to getting to the garage and Trep shows up, acting all high and mighty, asking me in that snotty little voice she saves just for me where I think I'm going. Is it surprising that I have to hold back from rolling my eyes and just shoving her out of my way? I manage to, though, but, predictably, she still tries to stop me from taking another step. Right, no, that's not happening, so I push her out of my way after all, telling her nicely that it's none of her fucking business and that she should be keeping an eye out for that favourite little student of hers instead.
I'm almost at the car I want when she comes running after me again, finally having figured out what I meant and telling me that I can't go, that I'm breaking the rules and that this isn't how a senior SeeD cadet should behave. But you know what, they say that a hero could save us, but I'm still not going to sit here and wait.
