Sanzo is short. Sanzo is not cussing; Sanzo is not waving his usual angry banners. Sanzo is thankful there is no differentiating between Sanzo's blood and Gojyo's hair. Sanzo is clinging onto Gojyo as though he truly believes Gojyo is capable of saving him, when Gojyo cannot even save himself.

Gojyo will push Sanzo at Hakkai and say, "Save him." It could mean, "Save Goku." They're pretty much the same thing.

It could also mean, "Save me."

"This is a shitty way to die," Gojyo says.

"Is it?" Sanzo says, and rests his hand on the back of Gojyo's neck.
