A/N Hello everyone, this is notyouraverageblond. This is a story I thought up while I was, you guessed it, ice-skating! The title will make more sense in later chapters. This is a Ron/OC story, so if you like those stories, please read it. It won't be all mushy gushy and fluffy, but there will be some fluff.
I was so excited to be transferring to Hogwarts from Beuxbaton. Not that I didn't love Beuxbaton, I just really wanted to go to Hogwarts and now was the perfect chance with my parents moving from France to England. I looked around at my part of the dorm room. It was clean for the first time since I'd taken up residence there. I sighed. I know I want to go to Hogwarts, but it's going to be hard, moving in the middle of the year. I won't have any friends there, and I'll have missed out on so much of sixth year. I really don't want to be behind on anything. Interrupting my train of thoughts, my friends burst into our dorm room, all crying their eyes out. I had been standing strong and not crying, but one look at them and I burst into tears. We all gathered around for a group hug, muttering incoherent sentences like, "Oh my god, I'll miss you…don't forget to write…you have to come and visit…don't forget us…" At last we pulled away and grabbed some tissues. I looked around at them and would have laughed if it hadn't been so sad. You wouldn't think that these were Beuxbaton's prettiest girls, with our blotchy faces and red-rimmed eyes. But we were. And now they would be Beuxbaton's prettiest girls minus one. Me. Gabbie sniffled and said, "Fleur said there were a couple hot boys at Hogwarts, and they'll be in your year." Gabbie's older sister, Fleur Delacour, had gone to Hogwarts to compete in some tournament that we were to young to enter. She came back and talked about boys for such a long time that Gabbie had to put a silencing spell on her. That's saying something, because Gabbie can talk about and listen about boys for hours on end. Gabbie could also testify for some cute guys because she had been used as one of the challenges. Soon Michelle started crying and that set us off again, crying oceans of tears. Finally my Mother called up the stairs, "Nia, time to go." We grabbed my stuff and walked downstairs. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate over five and a half years. Nine trunks full of stuff. Mother raised her eyebrows at the twelve of us lugging nine trunks down a steep, narrow flight of stairs. I'm sure it was amusing for her. "It's good the fire place is big, isn't it girls?" We smiled half-heartedly at her joke. Seeing our faces, Mother sighed. "Girls, I'm sure you'll see each other soon. Spring break isn't that far away." I gave a tiny, watery smile to my friends. I stepped into the fireplace and wedged the trunks in around me.
"Bye." I whispered. "Hogwarts," I said softly. I closed my eyes and pulled on a smile. Twenty seconds later I fell out of a different fireplace, in a different country, and, most importantly, in a different school.
A/N Thank you for reading. If you have the time I'd appreciate a review.
