Lily was an orphaned child at three months of age when her parents died. No one really knew what happed to them. Lily then went to one of the cities' orphanages in Paris. And she didn't make many friends, because… well because her hair was red… bright red.
Everyone called her 'carrot top' or 'fire head'. They weren't very well thought up, but they hurt all the same. So she tried to ignore them at first because her temper could flare up… fast.
So when she couldn't take it anymore she blew up… literally. Her hair looked as if it were actually on fire this time, and her green eyes sparked and glowed. She looked as if she could have killed them all right then and there, but as quickly as it came, it just died down.
Needless to say no one messed with her after that, but not that it would matter. She was leaving on a plane for London the next week. All of the workers at the orphanage were deathly afraid that if that happened again, another child would surely be hurt.
So here she was. On a plane, surrounded by many people, yet all alone. As always. But she kind of liked this freedom feeling. Yes, she had never felt this before. It was… wonderful.
See Lily has always been a dreamer. She would always imagine things, so the world would be easier and well, really… more fun.
She could imagine she had a name like, Samantha. Oh how she adored that name. It just flowed. Samantha. Yes, much better than plain, old Lily.
In all honesty she hated lilies. She liked roses much better. Anyway, she imagined herself in a perfect world where people wanted her… and of course where she was without her ugly, red hair. Oh, she loathed her hair for causing her so much pain. She would much rather have a soft brown and fit in and be beautiful.
But alas, she was just a girl. An orphaned, red-headed, imaginative, outspoken, fiery, independent, talkative, (she never had many people to talk to, but when she could she could just go, and go!) brave, kind, big hearted girl. And she was soon going to find herself in many situations that will test her sanity. But she will be ready. Oh yes, no one single soul, can bring this fiery Lily down! No one…
