Story by: ME! Yes, I did write this. It was deleted because it was 'not the property of uploading author.' I do not know who reported this, I don't care. I wrote this and I don't care whose authors nephews cousin had the idea first. I uploaded mine first and I wrote this story and no one else even gave me the idea so sorry if you think I stole your idea. Please don't report this again. If you have a problem, email me, it can get worked out.
The angel was forming perfectly. Smooth and clear as glass, she seemed to be smiling at Edward as he put the last touches on her shoulder. Dimly, he heard someone come out of the house. He didn't say anything, and hoped they didn't want to talk to him. No one had showed up for the Christmas party, and he sensed that it was his fault. But he didn't hear anything, and gratefully he finished the ice sculpture. It was, he thought as he started down the ladder, one of his best works.
"HEY!" Edward spun around. As he did, he saw too late that Kim was standing at the bottom of the ladder. As if it were in slow motion, he saw his own bladed hand touch hers. A slice of red appeared across her palm.
The next thing he knew, there were people around. Kim ran into the house, and Jim was in his face, yelling at him. He was yelling, and Edward felt in his stomach the same feeling he had gotten when Esmerelda had called him a sheep. He didn't know what it was, but he didn't like it. Jim screamed at him to go, and he ran. Just ran and ran and ran.
I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you
Edward stared up the gloomy path which would lead back to his house. Vines and such had almost overtaken it, but it didn't look too hard to go up. Edward knew what he would find at the end of that path. His old room, his garden, which would now be starting to grow out. The old safety and security.
But no love.
He didn't find much of that here anymore, now, but at least there was Kim. He hoped she was okay, he hadn't gotten her too bad. He thought she knew it was an accident, but Jim didn't, so maybe not.
He turned to go back towards her house. He knew he couldn't stay there long, and in the end he would be going back to the same place he had always been.
But at least he should say goodbye.
I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
That's why I need you to hear
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is You
The next morning indeed found Edward at home. He was hiding from the police who had come to collect Jim's body. None of them came into the house, he didn't go outside. Some invisible truce existed between the two. It always had.
So when the final car left, Edward walked out into the garden. He moved a bunch of the gravel from the path around, so most of the blood was concealed. For someone who didn't know, the whole incident could never have happened. Most in the town would be quick and eager to forget it.
But not Edward. He remembered forever, his first, and final, love.
I'm not a perfect person
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you
I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you
