The hotel room was unusually quiet. As Nidia Guenard stared up at the eggshell white ceiling, her thoughts ran rampant.

Tomorrow, she would walk down the aisle. Tomorrow, she would become one with her beloved. Tomorrow, she would become Mrs. Shane Helms and life as she knew it would change forever.

Sleep eluded her. As much as she tried, she just couldn't sleep. The impact tomorrow would have on her weighed heavily on her mind. Was she making the right decision? Could she really spend eternity with one man?

"Why are you so worried?" she murmured, speaking to herself. Briefly, she considered calling Dawn Marie, her Maid of Honor. Then, she remembered Dawn was drunk from the bachelorette party.

She sighed as rain began to patter on the hotel windows. By this time tomorrow night, she would be in the arms of her beloved.

She hated worrying so much. She couldn't live life without Shane. He was so loving. When she was in his arms, her eyes constantly conveyed a message of love.

Her worries were most likely pre-wedding jitters.

When she thought about it, she could imagine life with Shane. She could see him holding their first child. She could see him showing off their first child to all their friends and family.

She saw him crying as their oldest child left for college. She saw herself growing old with him.

The rain soothed her frazzled nerves. She had never been so stressed. Tomorrow was the first day of the rest of her life.

She glanced towards her wedding gown. Pink Ivory with a ball gown sillohette made of organza, it was her dream dress. Every time she slipped into it, she felt like a Princess, who had finally met Prince Charming.

The rain continued, gently pattering against the window.

She loved the way light reflected against the rain streaked windows. It was such a pretty sight and it calmed her.

Being in love was an amazing emotion. Everytime she was near him,. she felt jolts of electricity. His sweet, sensous ways melted her heart.

The silence was punctuated by several loud yawns. She was exhausted, but just couldn't get to sleep.

She jumped as the door creaked open. She shook her head several times in an effort to make sure she wasn't hallucinating.

Standing before her in rain drenched clothing was none other than her beloved.

"What are you doing here?" she squealed, jumping into his arms. Then, she realized she was speaking to her groom. "You aren't supposed to be here! It's bad luck!"

"Luck Schmuck! I had to see my Baby," he said, holding her head against his chest. His heart beat beneath her ear. Boom, boom, boom, it was a calming lullaby.

In that instant, her worries vanished. She knew she was making the right decision.
