Chapter one: Dream

"Mother?" a young girl's voice flowed across Saya's head. Saya was still asleep though, but she did not know that. She thought that this was real.

"Mommy no!" the young girl's voice again, echoed in Saya's head. Saya woke herself up inside her dream, but she did not know it. She slowly opened her eyes, seeing fog and large thick clouds around her. She could not see anything, but fogs. Then her vision cleared up. Saya then saw the young girl and her mother, dieing in vain. She saw that a sword was stabbed through the young girl's mother's chest. Blood was everywhere, death of many people laid there.

The young girl stayed beside her mother and held her mother's hand close to her face. Warm tears were streaming down the young girl's face as she screamed very loudly, calling for her mother's soul to come back to her.

Saya's eyes widen as she stepped closer towards the little girl to see if she was alright or not. The young girl looked at Saya. She took caution and lifted up her mother's sword and pointed towards Saya.

"I'm not going to harm you," Saya said to her. "Are you alright?"

The young girl stepped away from Saya.

"You must be lying!" the young girl shouted at Saya with force.

Saya put both of her arms on the young girl's shoulders.

"No, I am not lying. Are you okay though?"

The little girl looked at the ground. Tears were still coming from her eyes, many dropped below onto the dirt. "N-o-o-no," the young girl said. She was afraid, afraid of her mother dying. But she was already dead. Saya pulled the girl close to her and hugged her.

"Please, don't cry, I know that was your mother, I know how you feel when you lose someone you love very much," Saya said to the little girl. Saya wanted to cheer her up.

The young girl's eyes widen at the sight when Saya hugged her. She hugged Saya back and said, "Thank you."

The girl put her head on Saya's shoulder and rested there. Tears that were falling from her cheek still fell down, but they disappeared. Saya looked at the young girl, seeing that she was fading away. Her eyes widen as she saw the young girl disappearing and reappearing.

"Are you…going?" Saya asked the little girl. Small tears were coming down from Saya's cheeks as she saw that the girl was disappearing.

"Yes, I should go now. Thank you for making me not to cry anymore…Saya," the young girl said to Saya. She looked at Saya and put one hand in front of her. Saya did the same as they both touched together. They've only met the first time and have already taken to be friends.

The young girl's tears came down again and touched the dirt. Saya looked below, seeing some newly flowers growing. Then Saya looked over to see the young girl, but she fully disappeared, but she left her pendant that her mother gave her long ago. Saya crawled over to get the pendant that she left and wore it on her neck. It fit perfectly. Then Saya was knocked unconscious down to the floor.

Saya woke up from her bed in her room.

'Was that only a dream?' she thought to herself.

Saya forgot that Koenma wanted her today in his office. He wanted her to meet Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei today very badly. Saya quickly got out of her bed and put on her clothes, which were a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Saya went upstairs and ran to Koenma's office at her full speed. (Saya is really fast like Hiei)

She ran through some ogres that were in her way, but she didn't care. Papers flew everywhere when Saya ran across them ogres. She got to Koenma's office. She was panting and saw a few people there she didn't know, except Koenma and Botan.
