Chapter Four: The Little Games of Change

Paige looked at her sister's and ex-brother-in-law for a few moments and then orbed out to her room. She restlessly paced there for 15 minutes until she gave up and orbed out again. Using her rudimentary sensing skills as a guide she re-materialized in a park. She found herself in Golden Gate Park with an angel statue and the form of one man lying sprawled on a bench. She scanned her surroundings once again before coming back to the figure on the bench. She walked a few steps forward and then broke out into a sprint, realising who he was.

"Chris!" The man on the bench appeared not to have heard her. His body fell onto the cold ground. Paige had reached him by then and fell to her knees next to him. "Chris! Chris! Are you okay? Chris?!" Paige's eyes roamed his body in search of injury.

"I'm...sorry." Chris' voice sounded faint, as if she was hearing it from a far away place. His eyes were closed, his face extraordinarily pale.

"Chris, its okay. Phoebe was an idiot to say what she said." Paige's voice was trembling with anger and fear.

What was wrong with him? Why didn't he open his eyes?

"Bianca..." Chris whispered hoarsely and Paige realised then what she had to do.

"Paige –what?" Phoebe's voice told Paige that she had successfully orbed herself and her nephew back to the Manor. "No time to explain, come with me to the attic." Paige looked at Phoebe and Piper, her tone tense. "Leo stay here and watch out for Chris. We'll be back in a few." Paige hurried to the attic, ignoring her two sisters' voices asking her what was the matter. When she reached the attic, she threw open the door, called for candles which orbed into a circle before the altar when the famed Book of Shadows rested. She tossed Phoebe matches and motioned for her to light the candles while she herself walked over to the altar and began rifling through the Book.

Paige, what's going on?!" Piper asked angrily frowning at her youngest sister.

"You'll see in a minute." Paige responded a triumphant look on her face. She had found the spell. She took a deep breath, grabbed her sisters' hands and began:

"Hear these words, hear my cry,

Spirit from the other side.

Come to me, I summon thee,

Cross now the great divide.

Beloved spirit, Bianca.

We seek your guidance

Commune with us

And move amongst us."

As Paige finished speaking, a swirl of white orbs twirled in a circle then disappeared and allowed the Charmed Ones' to properly see who the woman their young new-found relation had lost his heart to. Her hair was a luscious light brown and her eyes a golden brown to match her skin. She wore a white peasant skirt, thongs on her feet and a red button up shirt. "Who has summoned me?" Bianca asked, then she caught sight of the sisters in front of her. "Ah, the Charmed Ones, is something the matter?" The sisters were silent for a moment before Piper nudged Paige into speaking.

"Ah, actually, something's wrong with Chris."
