It was a nice, sunny day at the end of April and school had just let out for Spring Break. Pie Eater and Snoddy were walking home together and talking about nothing in particular.

"Eh, Pie Eater!" Snoddy exclaimed slapping his best friends backpack.

Snoddy laughed, "Eh, dat's a funny woid! Eh, eh! You could make a rap song out of it!" Snoddy started bouncing and rapping, "Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh!"

Pie Eater smiled, but didn't pay attention; he just walked a little faster.

"Are youse eager to get home?" Snoddy questioned when he realized his friend was walking faster.

Pie Eater nodded and picked up his pace. He could see his house getting closer. Soon, they were right in front of his lawn.

"Ok, Snoddy. Bye, see ya later!" Pie said, dashing up the walk.

Snoddy stood, dumbfounded, staring after his friend. 'Pie is acting really weird today.' Snoddy thought.

"Oh well." He said out loud and continued walking.

Later that night, Snoddy called Pie Eater's house.

"Sorry, Robert. David is busy out in the backyard." Pie Eater's mom told him. "I'll have him call you back when he comes in."

"Ok, thank you." Snoddy replied politely.

When he hung up, Snoddy ran outside and headed for Pie Eater's house. He let himself into the backyard and saw a little pile of wood. Laughter drifted out of the wood, followed by a muffled voice and more laughter.

Snoddy walked up to the pile of wood and knocked on what appeared to be the door. The laughter instantly stopped, the door cracked open, and Pie Eater's head popped out.

"Snoddy? What are you doing here?" Pie asked when he looked up to see Snoddy.

"Your mom told me you were out here, so I let myself in."

Pie Eater scrambled out of the wood and stood facing Snoddy, his cheeks getting a little pink.

"Well, I'm busy right now. I can't hand out."

"I'll help you then." Snoddy replied simply.

"I don't need any help. Go home now, Snoddy."

Pie Eater crawled back into the wood and slammed the makeshift door. Snoddy stood there, unsure of what to do. With nothing else to do, Snoddy left.

The next day, Snoddy made his way to Pie Eater's house again. Pie Eater's little brother answered the door.

"Is Pie Eater here?" Snoddy asked politely.

The little boy's eyes got big, "Who?"

Rolling his eyes, Snoddy replied, "David. Is David here?"

The boy turned and dashed into the house, slamming the door. Snoddy stood there for a minute, waiting. Pie Eater's brother did this all the time, so he wasn't surprised by it.

The door opened again and Pie Eater's dad stood there, "Oh Robert! Dave is in the back."

Snoddy nodded a thanks and headed to the backyard. Once again, he heard laughter coming from the pile of wood. He stalked over to the pile of wood.

He didn't bother knocking this time, he just opened the door.

"Pie?" He asked shocked at the site in front of him.

Pie Eater sat in a small chair around a tiny table. In the other five chairs were baked pies of various flavors. Faces had been frosted onto each pie with whipped cream. Pie Eater was having a tea party!

"I-I can explain." Pie Eater stuttered with embarrassment.
