Note: To conquer the things that seem to over shadow us we must first accept the everlasting fate of those we love.

Death always surrounded those whom it never took. Always, it is inescapable. Like unseen laws, Love always brings tragedy to those who are afraid to lose it.

Such has happened to the man who once was great. Who is now terrible and unrelenting. Love came to him so strongly once that it nearly overwhelmed him with its fierceness. It came so swiftly and unforeseen yet killed him even as he stands against the night.

Lightning flashed, reflecting off Darth Vader's protective helmet. Weeks after his love dies he regrets. Regrets everything he had done in the previous months before the final incident.

In an attack of anger Darth Vader turned, cape billowing, unable to stand the closeness of the room. He left the clones in the palace without orders only to keep their posts. His boots clicked on the polished marble floors and stairs as he made his way to the outside.

He walked the streets of the city toward the outskirts. Once there he closed his eyes almost able to feel his beloved standing next to him. Impulsively he turned only to meet a charred pillar of stone. She once stood here watching the sun set with him.

He walked farther as dark clouds gathered overhead almost following him as a defining cloak. He knew not how long he walked when he stopped it was many kilometers away. Strange alien animals grazed on the lush green grass.

He stood atop a small rise. With an aching heart he watches the storm gather as his heart is finally opened and let to bleed freely. He missed her with all his heart and disintegrating soul. He had let her die. Die as he had seen he could have stopped it. Every breath he died for her as he wanted to. It was too late to save her, himself, or the child.

With a sigh the thick clouds broke open and let forth the tears never shed. Down they came by the millions some landing on Darth Vader's helmet. Soon he was soaked through by the tears of a cold unrelentless planet. Always a heart wrenching reminder of his life's love, which could never return no matter how much he wanted it, the planet Naboo would be.

He let the rain come and fall and cries for him. And her. And their unborn. He drained himself of emotion. It was not the way of the Sith. The Sith he had joined only to be able to defeat death. In the end he couldn't even stop it. He who is so powerful could not stop the life cycle.

A faint vibrating registered in his mind. Taking out his com-link Vader answered. It was his lord and master, Sidious. He heard the orders to return and took them without emotion. As a sith or any force user should. He turned to journey back to the destroyed and conquered once beautiful city. Still the rain did not relent. Always it comes, to rain on Anakin's soul to ever and always remind him of that which he brought about trying to prevent…
