Summary: You never know if the next person you meet will become your boss.

Author's Note: Something I was thinking about when I was trying to get to sleep. I would also like to dedicate this fic to my best friend, Emily.

The chilly winter breeze whips at my face as I pull my coat tightly around myself, gloved hands shoved deeply inside the pockets. I look up at the greying skyline, my mood darkening along with it. A fan of winter I was not.

The streets are far from empty, even this early in the morning. 7:11, the last time I checked.

My car is parked but a block away. I had thought a morning stroll would do me some good. How I wish I didn't think of my supposed well being in this weather. I look up, and see the sign of my destination. It's early, I'm tired and work beckons.

I'd being working for them for only a few months now. I must say, when I joined up, I never thought walking a dog would be considered as an affair of the Secret Service.

Personal dog walker, I think not; but when they say jump, I say how high. I don't have much of a choice after all. I hope one day to get on the Presidential Detail. Until then I'm strapped with the responsibility of making sure Spotty gets his exercise.

I reach the door of the shop and pull it open, expecting to hear the ringing of a bell. I wasn't disappointed.

I've known this place for a few months now. Although I've never really been a coffee person, I would come here when I needed an energy boost. I've always found the corner café's better than a Starbucks any day.

I reach the counter, and pull my hands out of my pockets to rest on the polished surface. "Could I get a large mocha, and a bagel to go, please" The young man smiles lightly at me, and I can't help returning the gesture, politely.

If he wasn't a teenager, who looks to have hit puberty only a few weeks ago, I may have been genuinely interested. I was always someone who appreciated older men.

He turns to get my order ready, and I wait patiently by the side. He returns a minute or so after. I pull out a ten, and pick up my cup of coffee, sniffing the aroma.

Lovely

I receive my change, and after placing it in my purse, pick up a bag with my bagel inside.

I make my way to the door, juggling my purse, bagel and coffee cup, trying to free a hand. To my relief the door swings open, and I see a man with silver hair holding it for me. As I approach I notice he towers slightly over me.

His cobalt eyes capture mine as I make my way through the door. The wind hits my face like a slap. I turn to him and smile gratefully. "Thanks"

"No problem." He smiles and makes his way inside. My eyes follow him to the counter and I watch his movements.

Captivated

The sound of horning draws my eyes away from his figure. Reality comes crashing down around me. I glance at my watch and yelp. I'm late and it was all because of him.

Damn those blue eyes.

AN2: There you have it, another shortish fic from me. I was able to get away from study for a while, so I tried to make the most of my time :). When I wrote this I didn't know much about the Secret Service so most of it was guess work and if there are any mistakes I apologise. I also got the name "Spotty" as the dog, because I remember hearing it in "Yankee White" so I just went with it. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this and if you have the time to spare please leave a review. Thank you!
