My Story, My Pain, and My Hope
Disclaimer: I don't own Edward Scissorhands
This is my first Edward Scissorhands poem. I normally do poems about the Nightmare Before Christmas, but I wanted to try something new. I'm sorry if this poem is a little weird. Please R&R. and if you want, please check out my Nightmare Before Christmas poems entitled "My Unwanted Future" and "Sally's Wish" and review them.
Now for the story.
Nobody knows
The song I sing inside
For I'm a memory now
In darkness I must hide
You ran away
Because everyone hated me
And I knew you belonged there
At home with your family
I deserve this
To be locked away
There are too many differences between us
But in my heart you will stay
Even thought you never heard it
And I never said it too
Ever since I first saw your picture
I have always loved you
The first time we met
It wasn't love at first sight
You started me with your beauty
And I gave you one heck of a fright
After finally settling in
And hours of makeup from your mother
I went to the mall one day
And saw that you loved another
He wasn't the friendliest
And never the best to me
But I didn't care as long as you loved him
And you were happy
Then I was on TV
I knew you were watching
I wanted to say "I Love You"
But the result was rather shocking
I robbed a house
Of somebody I knew
When you asked me why
All I could say was "Because you asked me to."
There was the angel
When I looked down below
You were smiling and dancing
Covered in snow
Later that night, I'll never forget
When you asked me to hold you
And I said "I Can't"
You realized this was true
After I killed Jim
Because he tried to hurt you
My final word was "Good-Bye"
And yours was "I Love You"
I thought my heart had stopped
When you said those immortal words
You left forever and eternity
And from another I never heard
I found out I never age
I will go on as long as time will
But until I have you back in my arms
My world will remain still
Many years will pass between us
And my desire for you will grow
You will live on
And I forever will make the snow
(For my angel dancing below)
