"Well, this sucks," thought Jet. The strap that held his saddle on his horse's back had been snapped during a battle with some random evil monsters that wanted to eat him, and now he was falling over sideways. There was no way for the others to come to his rescue, and he knew that it was too late to make a grab for the horse's mane.
The wind rushed past his ears as he slid over, the ground coming up to meet him. His life flashed before his eyes. It was rather short, and then…
Thump.
"Ow, my head."
Gallows fell out of his saddle, laughing.

Later that day, after they'd fixed Jet's saddle, they finally arrived at Boot Hill. Virginia invited Jet to come upstairs with her to watch the meteor shower they'd heard was going to happen that night after they'd arrived. He'd reluctantly agreed, only because he'd never seen a meteor shower before.
After having been led upstairs and out onto the balcony, he leaned against the wood, not knowing that it really needed to be replaced.
Crack, snap, splinter.
"Oh crap, not again."
He fell over backwards, head down and ready to strike the ground first. Virginia trying to grab his foot to stop his descent, but only managed to pull his shoe off as he fell. Clive, who was just stepping out of the house to observe the meteor shower himself, took a step back as Jet hurtled into the ground headfirst.
"Ow, dammit."

Lombardia looked down as Jet approached the dragon. "You seem grouchy. What is the matter?"
"Everyone keeps laughing at me because I keep falling on my head," replied Jet.
Lombardia said nothing and looked up at the sky. The meteor shower had started and she and Jet watched it together in silence for several moments. Then Jet asked, "Would it be possible for us to fly up there to get a better view?"
The dragon replied to the affirmative, so she shifted into aeromech mode, and off they went. But then Jet found that he really couldn't see so well out the cockpit windshield and opted to climb outside and sit on top of the Lombardia. This turned out to be a bad idea, the wind was too strong and it blew Jet right off the side of the dragon. Once again, he found he was falling towards the ground headfirst.
"Wonderful."
Whump.
Before Jet even got a chance to swear, his friends burst out laughing at him from where they were sitting on Virginia's balcony.

The next day, Jet returned the ice bag to Virginia's aunt before they set out again for adventure as yet unknown. They hadn't gotten very far before Gallows started snickering.
"What's so funny?" asked Jet, who was in a very bad mood due to the headache he had from falling on his head a lot.
"Oh nothing," laughed Gallows. "Just thinking about how this ain't the first time you've fallen on your head."
"Oh yeah, I remember now," chimed in Clive. "That time at Yggdrasil. Do you remember, Virginia?"
"How could I forget?" she replied, chuckling. "I remember it like it was yesterday…"

"These stairs are awful steep, be careful not to fall," warned Clive, as the group moved up through Yggdrasil. Gallows, however, wasn't listening since he was too busy pushing past Jet, who had decided to stand there and brood for a while. Jet lost his footing and toppled over backwards, hitting his head several times on the way down.
Virginia just shook her head at him, smiling. "You're such a klutz."

"I hate you all."
With that, Jet rode off ahead of everyone. Virginia looked puzzled.
"What's his problem?"
