People often ask me, Lord Voldemort, why I kill. Well, they don't ask me directly obviously. I know they want to ask.
I kill because1.) it's my duty. Salazar Slytherin did not want Muggles and Mudbloods at his school, Hogwarts. That's like letting a fish into the home of a bird who eats fish. You just don't let random strangers into your home.
I kill because 2.) I am angry at this world. Simple. Rather self-indulgent, yes, but simple. The world hates me, therefore I hate the world. The world and myself…
A long time ago I was curious about the world and the world loved me. Like an infant that everyone loves, but later in it's life everyone hates it, thus shuns the child. That was me when I was younger.
The word "hate". What does it mean? No one, not even the most learned of wizards or scientists truly understand what this word means. Not until the entire world really hates you, will anyone really know what it means. No one is that cruel, unless, of course, you have never been loved.
Which is exactly what happened to me. For I am Lord Voldemort. And how dare anyone, who has never been hated as I have, utter my name.
And that is why the world hates me.
And that is why I hate the world.
